I am absolutely addicted to this version of Jane Eyre, having watched it another 4 times this last week alone! And I'm not ashamed to admit it either! It's perfect in every way and there's nothing left out of importance. O.K. it could have done with showing more of the young Jane at Lowood Institution, but it wasn't a necessity.
This tells the story of Jane Eyre, a poor, downtrodden girl who after becoming an orphan as a baby, is sent to live with her Aunt and Uncle and their children. The Uncle passes away and Jane is left to the cruelty of her Aunt and cousins. After 10 years of bad treatment, her Aunt sends her to Lowood School and turns her back on Jane. Another Great Season for The Simpsons. Have been looking forward to this coming out for some time. Can;t believe its taken so long.
I would have given this a higher rating if it wasnt for the packaging. Unlike the other Limited Edition Simpsons boxset (i.e. Homer Head boxset etc) this comes slightly smaller where the discs are stuffed into cardboard sleeves which can be quite hard to get out, and also have to touch the readable side of the disc with your fingers leaving grubby marks. Also the packaging is very confusing and you are lucky to find the right disc you are looking for, first time. You don't need to know the story... I'm sure you're aware it's about a fish and his dad. 'Nuff said!
This review is for the parents. My three year old son is pretty hardy but over the year or more he has been watching it I have found myself exercising various levels of censorship. On the whole it's fine but be warned Nemo's mum does get killed, there are murderous sharks, exploding war time mines and spooky deep sea beasts with large teeth! I love this tv show, its got to be one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long while. I can watch an episode over and over again and it never gets boring. There's some of the situation they get themselves into that I find myself laughing at long after I've watched it, pure genius.

I'd been wanting to see this film for ages but never got around to it, i bought it about a week and a half ago, looking at the reverse i was schoked at the fact that it was 3 hours long! I have a really short attention span, and it was also in black and white, which i thought would put me off. Usually i watch films and work through them or talk to friends nose around on teh computer etc but after watching about half an hour of this film i couldn't tear myself away, i completely neglected my laptop for the next two and a half hours! it didn't get boring at all and i didn't even notice it wasn't in black and white.All though we all know of the tragic events of the holocaust watching it unfold in front of you through spielberg's magic doesn't fail to shock and ... This film was really the most unbearable nonsense, the Irish busker/hoover repair man was perhaps the most annoying person ever. The music was awful, he must have been listening to an awful lot of Damien Rice.

This is exactly what you would expect of a "Chipmunk" film. Lots of hilarious slapstick humour, silly, but predictable storyline, plus the enigmatic, if somewhat over-egged Chipmunk voices.
Storyline, of this mixed real film and CGI, is basically of an aspiring songwriter, struggling to write any kind of song, which is where Alvin, Theodore and Simon come in. From there the hilarities start and the predictable plot unwinds. Not really for "adults", but for all kids everywhere, this is a great film. We put it on in the car for the kids whilst we were driving on holiday, and there was blissful peace from the back, apart from the regular bouts of laughter. >>More Details |

For some time (almost 2 years) I have known about, and waited patiently for this Reese Witherspoon production; wondering if it ever would come to fruition on DVD in the U.K. On 12th August, I found it in a local Super-Market, and bought my copy there and then.
I have to say that my first thoughts when I watched it for the fist time were not very complementary. But, unusually for me after such thoughts, I let the film continue, watching it to the Happy Ending that it duly deserved. I was given this as a present recently, and i have to admit it never really appealed to me as i am a huge fan of Scrubs and always maintained it was the best programme on television....How wrong was i.
After watching Grey's anatomy season 1 i have become totally addicted and have recently purchased season 2 from amazon.co.uk (brilliant service!) I am also currently awaiting the arrival of Seasons 3+4. In a nutshell if you like scrubs and house md you'll love this, it's basically a combination of both! However T.R Knight is not great but the rest of the cast make up for this, especially Sandra Oh and Ellen Pompeo. Fantastic medical drama!! >>More Details |
