I enjoyed this series but personally for me series 1 was better
Series 2 ticked all the usual boxes.Funny, yes, charming, yes but for some reason I didn't like Stacy as much in this series as she became a bit of a whinger.
Ness and Smithy were the stars this time.I love Ruth Jones, shes 'geniune',Smithy is,as usual, top notch as are Uncle Bryn & Pam & Mick. Also,Smithys sister was a good addition as well.
The storyline of Dawny,Pete and the threesome was a bit silly if the truth be known,I cringed and I'm in no way a prude.
I would dearly love to know what happened on the fishing trip with Jason & Uncle Bryn and why Dave from Daves coaches hasn't blown the gaff and told Nessa.Does this mean it will come out in the ... Read More:

After Soprano's came to an end last year over here in blighty last year I was wondering would another series come along to give it a run for it's money.
I'm not sure what people think of David Chase's Mafia Epic but I can imagine cries of overrated being called out, I personally found utterly engrossing TV and simply sublime, I was somewhat sad to see it end but grateful Chase chose it to go out on high and yes I was perfectly happy with the opened ended abrupt ending to the final episode. Chase never was going to do conventional.
While I admit Showtime's Dexter started to fill that void, the 1st season was a great intro to the world of Miami's most interesting serial killer the 2nd season took the concept and ran with it, the ... Read More:

Just finished watching the movie and pretty much all the extras! Absolutely loved the movie (which has already been reviewed many, many times) - best movie musical I've seen since Moulin Rouge. And the Blu Ray - sound and picture - is just stunning. Having been to Skiathos and Skopelos, where this was partially filmed, made me want to go right back. Forget the DVD, buy the Blu Ray. Money well spent...

The film was great to watch. Several songs were good and it was overall a enchanting film. The only let down was the ending but other then that it was a really good film.

This is not a film i wanted to see but my girlfriend pursuaded me to watch it. It was fun and light, with some more darker scenes. I thought the acting was done well and the special effects were very good.
It's not a serious film with a serious story but the story line was easy to follow and thoroughly enjoyable as you (as the viewer) were introduced to different charactrs.
Would recommend to anyone with a lighter side.

Mr O Briain is back in town, and he's as good as usual; as good as you should expect of him. His old DVD is simply amazing, so I was worried this new one might be not that good, and that I would be dissapointed. But since I started watching it I knew it was going to be as good as the old one, or even better.
He is always hilarious, but the best bits of his shows are the interaction with the audience; that's, in my opinion what makes his shows so brilliant. Many comedians are good on telling jokes, but they can be a bit boring, just an hour and a half talking by their own. With Dara O Briain, you can never get bored.
I hope he records many of his live shows because living in Spain I have no oportunity of going to see him live, and this man is a real ... Read More:

I thought the dark knight returns was the worst film i'd seen all year.....until i watched this! Bad, bad acting (or what is supposed to be acting)and the big book of cliches is used at every opportunity. James Mcavoy starts the ball rolling with his pathetic, wet character and silly american accent but he's not half as bad as Jolie and Freeman. Angelina pouts quite a lot and strikes a variety of poses from a kay's catalogue whilst shooting the bad guys. Morgan Freeman wears his smart suits and speaks with authority but he just sleepwalks through the film. Add in the utterly daft plot, dialogue written by a 10 year old and you get a poor hollywood film which has no plus points what so ever. Avoid.

Though it's nice to have the entire Blackadder collection in one neat DVD-set, there's no comparison between Season One (1983) and the subsequent three seasons.
The 1983 series was directed by Rowan Atkinson (Blackadder) and Richard Curtis. Though Brian Blessed is a superb actor, the dialogue is mildly amusing at best. It simply can't hold a candle to the 1985, 1987 and 1989 seasons - all directed by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton. Season 2 is set in the first Elizabethan Era (late 16th century). Miranda Richardson is hilarious as Queen Elizabeth and it also features a young(ish) Stephen Fry as Lord Melchett. Season 3 is probably my favourite; it's set in the Regency period (early 19th century) where Hugh Laurie excels as Prince George. In one classic episode called "Ink ... Read More:
