I was so excited about L5, it finally arrived and i binged watched it in 2 nights, this review has NO SPOILERS, but i will say the focus of the whole season centred around the movie of jenny's book Lez Girls, i found this disappointing, i was also totally disappointed with the "finale" which seemed so much like a regular episode that i actually rewatched then checked the episode listings to clarify, and despite the lack of a proper ending it was the finale. I love the L word and this is a must for every fan, but don't expect a sizzling series, i was left a bit miffed. and can only hope season 6 picks up in pace so this great programme goes out with a bang.

Ok the reviews this film has, that say it is 'bad' are perhaps fair and just.
- but if you have read them and haven't guessed already then this film really does depend on YOU the viewer and your own experiences and MINDFRAME.
This film is one of those that CAN really work because it can connect to members of its audience on a level much more personal that say a stereotypical hollywood blockbuster (which are aimed at appealing to the masses) thus earning this the title "Art" film.
Despite my comment about large budget films, i can compare this to "Closer" (Nichols, 04).
I found that closer was a film i loved because i could really relate to it and the situations which engrossed me.
The same with this, ... Read More:

It's sad that TV and entertainment also is represented by series such as this. To know that this particular series has come to an end and therefore will open a slot for change leaves me with some hope. Unfortunately, this is just the tip of the iceberg as it represents a whole segment of the industry, prepared to make a profit on the cheap laughs coming from an audience that finds juvenile bathroom attempts at humor entertaining.

"Loving Annabelle" is a passably-scripted and -acted tale of illicit passion at a Catholic boarding school, but one thing it is not, I have to say, contrary to other reviews, is a beautiful love story. The somewhat familiar story follows a teenager (Erin Kelly), the "Annabelle" of the title, who, having been expelled from a number of previous schools, winds up at the aforementioned Catholic institution and is immediately attracted to her English teacher, Simone Bradley (Diane Gaidry). Bored by her relationship with her nice but dull boyfriend, Simone is unwilling to make the commitment he is pushing for, and instead spends increasing amounts of time with the rebellious student, Annabelle.
I'd only ever heard of the show through the internet & purchased the series on what clips i'd seen from the show - i'm so glad I did, it has to be one of the most refreshing and pure-escapism tv shows put out in a while. The first series seems a little off the wall at first but the series evens out, the more episodes you watch. Trash tv for sure, but alot of fun to watch, and incredibly camp and OTT. Tracy Scoggins in particular, Makes Dante's well worth checking out as evil Grace! Hot men, hot women, pure madness and hammy acting...bring on season 4

I recently watched this and having not heard anything about the supermodel Gia Carangi was instantly blown away by Angelina Jolie's portrayal as Gia. You can see why Angelina won an Oscar a year later in her other great film Girl Interrupted. This sad and moving true story tries to explain why Gia did what she did. I won't spoil this for you but, this is not for the faint-hearted. I thought all the acting was great as was Faye Dunaway as Gia's Agent. Angelina's truly spellbinding in this film. Great film all round.

I do not understand why is this is in the gay section. My mate convinced me to watch this film as he told me it was like Superbad and Knocked Up. Well, it's not. I agree with the guy who said it is equally offensive to straight people as it is to gay people.
It is just not funny. It is like one of those poke fun at gay, female or foreign people sitcoms from the 70's. Mind Your Language or Love Thy Neighbor anyone?

By Season Seven, I feel that Will and Grace lost much of its charm and humour, though was still quite watchable. The real highlights of this series are the many guest stars drafted in to boost ratings for the show- My personal favourite is Stuart Townsend in the episode "The Fabulous Baker Boy."

One of my friends recommended ER to me, and as I saw this for an extremely cheap price in the shop I thought; go for it. And I was very glad that I did.
ER season 7 I found absolutely amazing. I had lots of fun spotting the guest stars and what other shows they recurred on, and in season 7 there are lots to spot. Wentworth Miller is in the first episode at some point. Very interesting.
The acting talent has improved dramatically from season 6. With the exception of Carter, whom I'm almost 100% sure has the range of an egg. Nevertheless, this does not distract from what promises to be, and lives up to its expectations of one of the best seasons. Three characters from the first season still remain, Drs. Green, Carter and Benton. Dr. Green ... Read More:

Having waited and waited for this DVD be be released on Region 2, I opted to purchase the Region 1 version (just noticed the release for Region 2 has gone back yet again possibly due to ITV wanting to televise before the DVD comes out??). I am questioning whether the Region 1 version has been edited due to some of the content - the scene in the cell between Selina and Margaret when Selina is changing into her nightwear is a bit strange as the dialogue that comes out of Margarets mouth doesn't go with what you are seeing, guess I will watch the ITV version when it is shown to check this.
Having read all of Sarah Waters' novels to date, I find Affinity to be the most unexciting - therefore this adaptation was the same for me. I think Tipping the Velvet is the ... Read More:
