Ah, series 6. Probably the most talked about season. This was the season with the huge debate whether or not to grant the show a 7th year, the year the writing supposedly dropped in quality, and the year the ratings dropped quite a large amount. Despite all of above, I truly think season 6 boasts some of the funniest episodes in Will & Grace history such as: Last Ex To Brooklyn, Strangers With Candice and East Side Story. Other good episodes include: Dames At Sea, Me and Mr. Jones, Swimming From Cambodia, Nice in White Satin and Flip Flop parts 1 & 2. This was a very controversial season but seems to be covered with humour. Also, the DVD release itself isn't very good, no bonus features (bloopers, invterviews etc.) Overall, I think ... Read More:

The idea of gay lego people doing things that gay people do should be funny but in fact came and went with none of the controversy or praise that original concepts deserve. MMM Thats because its not that original or well written. It lacks the satire an longevity of something like South Park. Once you get over the initial comedy of bits of lego being profane its deeply dull. I have seen all the episodes keen to give it a chance before slagging it off but I stopped laughing fairly early on. the whole thing relies on cliches which is very common for some of the more derivative gay themed product coming out of America. It shows how far behind they are in terms of visibility and integration.

A creative and intriguing look at live in East LA as the name suggests - it opens with what can only be described as a mouth-watering twist. It rapidly develops into a great tale about a young gay man of Latin origin trying to cope with his sexuality and trying to build a life with a significant other.
The main character is well etched out and well-acted - but there are some show stealing moments from supporting casstmates - his over the top aunt, the Hispani, narrowminded, dog-walking, gayhating chef and the bigotted overly camp gay neighbour!
'Fire' is the 1996 film by Deepa Mehta and stars Shabana Azmi and Nandita Das. It is the first of the "Elements" trilogy, followed by Earth (1998) and Water - Special Edition (2 disc) [2006] - both excellenet movies. Loosely based on Ismat Chugtai's 1941 story Lihaf (The Quilt), it is the first Indian film to explicitly show homosexual relations. Right-wing Hindu groups staged several violent protests after its release in India in 1998 and threatened to burn down cinemas.
This is not a 'lesbian' film, but lesbianism in India is an aspect of it. Rather the film deals with contemporary issues in Indian society steeped in traditions, now often meaningless. It may not be a coincidence that the word CRUSH is highly visible in many scenes. Crush as in all the ... Read More:

...Here's more of the same. Good quality Sitcom with some very gifted actors. Basically revolving around 'Grace' an Interior Designer and 'Will' a gay lawyer and their on/off living together relationship plus the two 'quirky' friends 'jack' a very efeminate gay actor/layabout and 'Karen' a rich solcialite who works merely to get away from her family who she has no time for. It makes for a really good show and you become so immersed in what's happening you'll find yourself watching multiple episodes at a time. It's also worth noting that should you watch the out-takes and interviews with the cast that the real life personalities of the actors are HUGELY different from the characters. I defy anyone to watch the show and not believe Jack is gay in real life, but in off camera interviews ... Read More:

Great film, very realistic and that's the films strongest point; I'm sick of all Hollywood films so lately I've been opting for 'unusual' films.
I found the relationship between Ste and Jamie really inviting, it grips you and challenges you to become a part of their world and that is what I gladly did!!! The only thing I felt that was missing was a little bit more intimacy and explanation between the two lads, one moment Ste was fighting against his feelings for Jamie and the next they are going to a gay pub together and declaring their relationship to the whole estate.
But don't let this deter you, it's still a thought provoking and GREAT film, it makes you realise that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay, who cares if you're sleeping with the same sex, love ... Read More:
