Back in 2004 when Friends finished there was a gap in my Friday night TV watching (back in the days when I was skint and couldn't afford to go out on a Friday and Saturday night) and this was soon filled with a programme I'd never seen before. This programme was 'Will & Grace'. After watching a few episodes we were instantly hooked and decided to try out the DVDs. We've started watching them again now from the beginning and they are still as funny and entertaining as they was when we first watched them 4 years ago.
Not so much of a review as it is a commentary. I absolutely love this film! I've watched it numerous times, mainly because the characters are believable and my appreciation for the subtle humour and depth continues to grow.
Coming from the director of But I'm A Cheerleader there were high expectations for this film but it certainly doesn't disappoint! The fiesty film follows a straight-laced dyke as she becomes involved with a gang of gay feminist radicals and falls for one of its leaders in the process.
The romantic comedy features turns from many familiar faces including Daniela Sea (The L Word) and Jenny Shimizu (Dante's Cove) and is genuinely one of the best lesbian-themed films to hit DVD in ages - definitely worth a watch!

...Here's more of the same. Good quality Sitcom with some very gifted actors. Basically revolving around 'Grace' an Interior Designer and 'Will' a gay lawyer and their on/off living together relationship plus the two 'quirky' friends 'jack' a very efeminate gay actor/layabout and 'Karen' a rich solcialite who works merely to get away from her family who she has no time for. It makes for a really good show and you become so immersed in what's happening you'll find yourself watching multiple episodes at a time. It's also worth noting that should you watch the out-takes and interviews with the cast that the real life personalities of the actors are HUGELY different from the characters. I defy anyone to watch the show and not believe Jack is gay in real life, but ... Read More:

One I won't recommend. The only good thing about it was the fact that I got to hold my girlfriend's hand while watching it!!
From start to finish, this was a most disappointing viewing from every angle. I have hardly come across a more far-fetched, incoherent and boring storyline. And there are bad ones out there. The acting performances were abysmal even for a school play, across the board. And the sex.... clumsy when depicted, scary when insinuated. More than once was I tempted to fast forward, fearful of what might come up next. (No, they won't show that ... oh yes, they did...)
Every possible cliche featured, stereotypes over-used and worn out, there is no value in this movie. It not only suffers from lack of talent, but also an utter ... Read More:

This is really a must, you have no excuse why you have not seen it yet. So:
If you are gay you probably have it already. You may need it, however, if your VCR can't read the worn out tape any more. If you don't just get one asap. You will wonder why on Earth you did not buy it earlier and ask for more. Fortunately, there is the US version as well. It may not be quite as good but it is veeeery long.
If you aren't gay the best solution is to order it as a gift for a gay friend (if you think you haven't got any gay friends you probably have been lying to yourself since you turned 15 or some of your friends have been lying to you which is even worse but this series may help you understand why and change your ways) and have a sneak preview for one. A word of ... Read More:
