I really enjoyed this season of QAF, each character progresses in a way you do not expect and issues are confronted that others shows would be afraid to confront. A great series! Can't wait for seasons 4 and 5 to come out!

This film was sheer brilliance. It captivates you and opens your eyes to a world some may find foreign. Explicit, maybe yes, but if their were no intimate scenes in this film, it would not convey the true life of Brandon Teena.
I have nothing but praise for this film and its ever twisting and amazing tale.
Please, open your mind to the life of someone who will have an impact on the way you think about people forever.

If I were reviewing the show itself, I would give this 4 or 5 stars. However, what disappointed me was the absence of subtitles on this release of the show. Maybe it's just my TV, but sometimes the dialogue is diffiulct to hear, especially in scenes where there is a lot of background noise. This means I have to strain to capture all the words and nuances, rather than being able to sit back and enjoy the narrative as it develops. Moreover, the choice to release it withour subtitles obviously makes it pretty much impossible for anyone hearing-impaired to enjoy. A rather cheap, cost-cutting ommision from Showtime, whose boxsets are usually excellent...

Hi there! I'm so happy to have listened to the advice of others buying Hex 1 & 2, because they were absolutely amazing! Besides all, I've also watched "Buffy the vampire slayer" in the prevoius years, but I don't agree with the general feeling of this has to be a masterpiece of television: first of all, because it isn't scary at all for me,the monsters are ridiculous, the story lacks in a lot of passages too and it isn't an original idea, plus where all the suspance was gone?!..It even looked like a Scooby-Doo film in some points..
And ok, as good as could have been the main actress,or handsome the male actor of Angel, the spin off too, isn't at the top of my favourite list (for example, in the past, there was "American Gothic" that in my ... Read More:

I remember I saw this movie I was about 17. I'd read the book and fell in love. It tells a love story between two men and the way they have to carry it out despite society rules (with some changes it still happens nowadays...).
The general message would be "love conquers all" but is it really so? Are Maurice and Scudder able to live happily ever after? I doubt, and on the beginning of the XXth century it would be even worse.
Despite all, it's lovely to watch the same kind of story we're used to watching in movies that portray society in different times, but now speaking about love between men! Although James Ivory's work is beyond criticism, in my point a view, there were some scenes in the book (the one when they are in London, sitting ... Read More:

This film is by far the best that David Lynch has made; and I have seen ALL his films. Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Inland Empire etc. are all high quality films in their own right, but Mulholland Drive is easily one of the best films for creating a haunting and eerie atmosphere.
Yes, the film is confusing...very confusing. It is no surprise that some people gave this film 1 star, but I have a (strong) suspicion that the people who gave it 1 star are the type of people who like a story to be spoon-fed to them so they don't have to do any thinking...well that's not going to happen here!
You have to think for yourself with this film. You will have to watch it more than once; but the best bit is that you will *want* to watch it again because it is ... Read More:

When I first saw the trailer for this film I thought it was a love story between the two guys on the cover of the case. In fact it is a very different story. The film is about a young man coming out to himself and those around him over the course of a summer during the 80s.
I found it hard to fault anything in this film. With a lot of gay cimema you do tend to find the production values sometimes look cheap and some of the acting is below par. With this film this never happens. You could easily be watching any mainstream film.
The only thing I didn't like about this movie was that the ending wasn't wrapped in a neat bow. It is by no means a bad ending but I got the feeling they could have continued a bit longer as there still seemed to be ... Read More:

This is really a must, you have no excuse why you have not seen it yet. So:
If you are gay you probably have it already. If you don't just get one asap. You will wonder why on Earth you did not buy it earlier and ask for more. Fortunately, there is one more season waiting for you and the US version as well.
If you aren't gay the best solution is to order it as a gift for a gay friend (if you think you haven't got any gay friends you probably have been lying to yourself since you turned 15 or some of your friends have been lying to you which is even worse but this series may help you understand why and change your ways) and have a sneak preview for one. A word of warning! You may want to keep it afterwards but don't worry. Your gay friend most probably has it ... Read More:
