I loved this TV game as a kid (and still do - ch 19 DAVE on an sunday) but unfortunately this is a very poor comparisson. This game only lets you have 3 teams (I know not in line with the game instead of 4 as said on the box (as you get as error sheet in the box correcting you). The questions are so easy thats it's embarassing to answer them, and the same level of knowledge carries on round after round and the toughest option is trying to excuse yourself from the room and let everyone else carry one with this torture!! I do not jest!! I would actually give this NO STARS if I had the option

Another rubbish DVD game that's far to slow to be any fun. You get to hear original presenter Bob Holness but that's the only thing in it's favour. Incidently Holness fans, Bob was the first man in history to play James Bond (twas on a radio drama) and I once saw him at Pinner station which is where he lives. Er, the town of Pinner that is, not the Under Ground station.
In conclusion, the mighty Block Busters franchise is ill serviced by this piece of tat.
Stick with board games and just use your DVD player to watch films, you'll have a lot more family fun.

I bought this based on the comments above and the fact that I am a fan of Little Britain.
I played it twice yesterday, then again today using the same start day as I did the first time yesterday. I was disappointed to find all the same questions asked in the same order again. If this is correct then there are only 8 sets of questions.
As well as this I found it slow, tiring, and unengaging.
The DVD cover suggests: "high speed action" and "no more waiting" which is misleading. There are long interludes between each section, each character giving just 2 or 3 questions before moving on to the next section.
Finally, I was surprised to find no Main Menu, so no option for multiple players - it assumes that there are just 2 players!

This is cool - OK so it's not as quick as a PC game but whoever made it has done a good job coz it has most of the games from the TV show, Joe is there to tell you what to do and the graphics are OK. It's good fun for a few hours.

Like most DVD games this is far too slow to be entertaining. The lag between pressing a button on the remote and anything happening on screen sucks any fun that this game might otherwise have promised.
If you really want a fun family quiz game get Buzz for the Playstation 2. It's easy to play, fast past and has a variety of rounds. It's a lot of fun to play, everything that the Catch Phrase DVD game isn't.

Good idea, easy and enjoyable to play using dvd control. However, have played this 20 times at most and repeat questions started cropping up after 4th or 5th game. Now have several repeat questions in each game. Very annoying and very disappointing.

We bought the first of the Telly Addicts games and found it to be quite good so thought we'd give this one a whirl. These type of games are quite good at family get-togethers and certainly avoids the need to play charades!
Again the format of this is nice and the comments between seem to work in well. As always there are some questions to which the answers can only be guessed (I have no idea when Barry Chuckle's birthday is!) but other than that this should provide a test for all Telly Addicts. A new feature on this one is the ability to select a level for children (or numpty adults) to play. The games are fairly short and so you won't get too bored while you can always play again.
