Before I ordered the movie, I was quite curious about it from reading reviews. But after watching it I got a little bit disappointed. In my opinion, it is not very well presented and only scratches the surface of spirituality (if this is the point of the movie). It is kind of ironic that in the movie they mention that we are constantly bombarded by images from the media but the film itself is a bombardment of images, interviews and sounds from all over the world, taken out of context and juxtaposed to each other.
The concept of traveling around the world and doing accidental interviews with well known people and recording interesting musicians seemed intriguing. But I'm afraid that the end result is not very astonishing, may be ... Read More:

Not heard the VHS Video in a while but this is so much better! Sound quality not the best on a DVD but a vast improvement on VHS. More songs, about 20 mins extra and Bono hasn't yet learned his stage craft. The Edge looks very un-rockstar as does Adam with his curly hair, Larry looks like he's still in (primary) school and Bono has the most ridiculuous hairdo (even by his standards).
I could have done without Surrender & Seconds but the rest of the songs are storming, from Out of Control through to 40. This is a very loud DVD, so turn it up and destroy the neighbourhood! U2 when they were little!

Cheesy, corny and totally daft but really enjoyable all the same! The first movie is the best of the two but both are easy to watch, fun and the music is pretty good too.

I was lucky enough to see The Highwaymen live in when they came to the UK, probably not long after this show was recorded and the show I saw was very similar to the one they did on the DVD. I have always been a huge fan of Willie Nelson and also like the others, but when you see them together you cannot believe you have 4 huge country stars on the same stage, singing together!. The DVD brought back many memories of one of the best live shows I have seen - and I have been to loads. The rapport between the guys is obvious, and regardless of what Willie says about 'all of us having ego's the size of a bus' what cmes over is a fantasic group of country singers doing what they do best. If you like any one of them but havent yet discovered the Highwaymen, you ... Read More:

Sumptuously filmed in beautiful colours, and with a Dolby sound track that will have your upstairs neighbours hammering in rage on your ceiling with their walking sticks, this film presents a largely fictional account of Mozart's last years, and quite libellously portrays Antonio Salieri as Mozart's murderer. It's all about envy, God and getting your just deserts, according to one Amazon reviewer, and I suppose that according to this school of thought, the fact that it's a seriously inaccurate reconstruction of the past is besides the point. Mozart emerges as a highly precocious and slightly nauseating American kid with an irritating high-pitched laugh, brilliant at wowing the Viennese public, upper and working class alike, with colourful theatricals. His juvenile ... Read More:

The dvd of this set is very atmospheric. It is presented in an old style, as if you are watching something from long ago. The colours and lighting make it feel very personal and add a touch of magic to the location. Marc sings his heart out and the choice of songs, music and guests match the setting. The dvd concert is over two hours and there are extras of an interview and three rehearsal songs. It is a treasure.

I would give the DVD 5 star rating too. The program is awesome. Take That is in it's best form, and concert is wonderfully conceived.
I trained myself to perceive buying something I like on a Blu-ray, after I already have it on a DVD, as an upgrade and not double-dipping. As such, I expect it to actually BE an upgrade...
Unfortunately... it was lit for the in-house audience and not for cameras (at least not for cameras used to shoot this concert). Insufficient light leads to grain and grain is abundant here, there is a lot of blocking and it is obvious that there is something gravely wrong with the colors and contrast. It's blooming, posterized and painful to watch. I wasn't expecting much of an improvement over the DVD, judging by the difference ... Read More:
