If you just want to know if this film is worth buying/watching or not, without enduring copious notes in the process, the answer is a resounding "YES!!!" I watched this film when it was first released and the reviewers (FOOLS!) were decidedly cool, but my husband and I (no, not THAT husband and I !!) both thought it was brilliant and knew it would become a classic.

This review refers to the BLU-RAY edition ONLY and NOT to the DVD edition.
Well having The Terminitor series on DVD and loving them and having recently upgraded to a blu-ray player I decided to take the plunge and upgrade my collection to high definition blu-ray format.
Boy, what a mistake that was.
Picture quality is AWFUL - well awful for blu-ray anyway. They've taken the same standard definition source as the DVD and upscaled it for blu-ray - but it's still standard edition. Only the menu is in High Definition, the movie is not. I tested my DVD version upscaled against the blu-ray edition and found them identical - if anything the DVD came out slightly on top.
Season 5 comes out great for voyager, the UFP (federation) trembles at hearing that the Voyager did survive after being taken to the Delta Quadrant and many stories on this ship suggested it was destroyed long ago. it was all thanks to the Doctor, now with more constant contact around the corner because of a starfleet project dubbed "the pathfinder project", specifically for commication with the missing voyager starship. the crew also gets more contact with the hirogen after the first successful relay via the doctor the hirogen stations and the prometheus.

I had heard a lot about this so was really pleased when this was released. A different parody to Blue Harvest, more like out-takes and behind the scenes hidden camera type of show. Some excellent sketches including Admiral Akbar cereal. Main issue I had was the length..... I has assumed that this was an extended episode like Blue Harvest, but in fact it was only around 20 minutes with the rest of the DVD taken up with unrelated episodes and extras, so for that reason only 4 stars for me.

On this occasion I found myself liking the movie more than the book. What stood out for me as a child was the wolf figure who stated at the end of the film this startling notion that people who forgot their dreams and lost their hopes were easy to control and who ever has the control has the power ... I wondered how that could come about. Now I see that behind the film was possibly a critique on our modern standard of living and the world of Fantasia, a world of the spirit, imagination and dreams does not want to allow it's self to be usurped by mans casual disregard for those qualities. The film asserts that real freedom is the freedom of the mind and to have self belief in the face of astonishing obstacles is the only way to move forward. This is a modern day fairy tale which ... One of my favourite films. This has incredible one liners, great slapstick, Bill Murray at his best and a really strange but completely great premise behind the whole thing.
