This very quickly became my favorite tv show of all time-and i watch a lot of tv.
It's so hard to decribe it to someone but if you at all like sci-fi/funny dialogue/great plots/extremely quotable lines then you should definitely see this. wild west crossed with space but much more about the characters than the landscape- and such great characters. As the review, and Captain Malcolm Reynolds says; 'We are just too damn pretty for god to let us die'
There is one bad point to this series though, the shortness of it! after watching it you will as like become obsessed and start incorporating Firefly lingo into your everyday speech, 'cool' replaced with 'shiny' Fox are forever known as 'the Alliance' and you will have an unreasonable ... Chitty Chitty Bang Bang [1968] 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' is my second favourite after 'The Wizard Of Oz'. 'Chitty' stars Dick Van Dyke, Sally Ann Howes, Lionel Jeffries, James Robertson Justice and Robert Helpmann. Though this release onto DVD is the Full Screen version of this film i personally prefere it due to the fact this is a wonderful transfere to Disc, with it's lovely deep colours and so beautifully restored it looks like a modern film. Dick Van Dyke is superb as the children's father who rescues a vintage racing car from a junk yard and gets the car working again. He decides the car should be called 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' and he tells his children a story of how the car is magic and able to float and fly. Everything is so wonderful about ... Read More:

Bad acting, dull nonsense of a script, poorly paced and directed.
Anyone giving this pathetic excuse for a tv programme 5 stars must have a 1 star life.
Stop sitting indoors watching hour upon hour of this patronising rubbish and find some friends instead.
Preferably ones who don't like this bunk.

After the end of Season 1, I found the first two episodes of Season 2 to be a bit boring, but by the third episode it kicks off really well. If you havent seen it you are in for a treat, without giving anything away, I thought that the best episodes were "the other 48 days" and "Dave". Can't wait to see what season 3 will be like :)

I am a fan of Del Toro's Spanish language films, but had not seen Hellboy, dismissing it as teen-horror-flick nonsense. I hold my hands up and admit it, I was wrong!
I LOVE this film - and so does my 8 year old son. In fact, I've watched it (as I type this) 12 times. And yes, I still love it.
From a parent's point of view, there are a couple of scenes that you need to keep an eye on - when the mask-wearing baddie is laid out on the slab and you get to see what he looks like (yeuk!).
I'd advise watching this seated alongside anyone small. Although there are demonic references, the demons themselves are not much to give your kid nightmares about. TBH If you've seen Indianna Jones and the Crystal Skull, there isn't much here that will upset ... Read More:

Almost finished series 3. 3 episodes to go but I'm really losing the will to live.
For me they've broken the 1st commandment of entertainment: Dont be boring.
The major plot: Galactica and co are trying to find Earth whilst being chased by the Cylons.
The sub plot: Baltar and No.6
Everything else: Sub-sub plots.
How much time is spent on the major plot line? about 20 mins.
How much time is spent on the sub plot? 10 mins?
About 20 episodes take up the completely boring sub-sub plots. Do we need 3 weeks of Apollo fancies Starbuck? If people want to watch marriage breakdowns and adulterous affairs they can watch Eastenders can't they? I dont watch BSG for that!
Everything that's supposed to be so meaningful is really skimmed ... Read More:

I watched The Incredibles with my 4 year old son this afternoon. This was the second attmept at watching it after we had to switch it off some months before because the film became too intense for him. He wanted to watch it again ("All the way through this time!") and so we settled down, turned down the lights and amped up the 5.1 surround sound.
The first ten minutes had me laughing at Mr Incredible's attempts to do his duty as a superhero whilst aiming to attend what is obviously a very important function on time.
This sequence is hectic, exciting and fun. The film then slows down somewhat, and I thought my son might begin to fidget and become bored, but he didn't and the film soon livened up again.
Some later sequences are genuinely suspenseful and filled with a sense of real danger. ... Read More:
