To be fair this is more of a composite review for series 3-5. I tend to agree with the reviewers who felt the series fell flat in series 3 (with the exception of the cliff hanger carried over from series 2). Things start to pick up in series 4 with the series 3 cliff hanger carry over. There is however, one episode where Adam goes under cover as a Syrian (speaking English with an Arab accent) that simply doesn't work.
In an earlier review I commented on how characters fell off the series, with a much greater frequency relative to American television. I have changed my stance and have gotten behind this as a useful maneuver to keep the series fresh.
I, like most was a fan of the original indiana jones films, the iconic archeologist with the famous whip and hat, so I had to buy the first blu ray indy film!
The story is pretty weak, mashing up sci-fi and UFO's with a 50's time setting. Initially a good idea to push Indy 20 years, but has ended up making him look out of place. In this present time the story is very pale and is probably been too late to acheive the status of the previous 3 films. It is obvious this was a cash cow lucas and speilberg could not let go.
The blu ray itsself is a decent transfer but does shwo up the over use of CGI backgrounds which make the film rather dated in my eyes. There is also a lot of "post production polishing" which makes a lot of scenes too shiny ... Read More:

I have always loved this show from season 1 and the quality of writing is the best among all the BBC TV shows. 24 should take a que from this series and make it's storylines more believable.Rupert-Penry Jones is just an added bonus to this show:-) I just wish each season had 24 episodes....BBC listen!

My daughter is a HSM fanatic and I'm rather partial myself! Having seen all 3 of the films, High School Musical 3 - Senior Year is the bet by far, the songs are brilliant and very catchy and the whole thing is more mature whilst still having the Disney sweetness. Don't miss this!

Family guy started off as very good, but since season 4 it has gone very much down hill & this season now with more swearing, not really necessary, containing this is a new low, to me does not count as humour, there are some amusing moments, hence my 2 star rating, the Gene Kelly scene which was done very well cleverly, replacing Jerry the mouse with Stewie, but overall this cartoon, like The Simpsons, is running out of really funny, sarcastic, jokes, for what I would call toilet humour, which we are getting far too much of nowadays, & when you reach this you are finished. I will buy season 7, to see if it has improved, but only at a good price & I will not rush into buying it, but overall stick to seasons 1,2 & 3 for the best of this series ... Read More:

This film, based on the dreadful events of 1990's Sierra Leone (limbs hacked off, families massacred etc) is in the 4 to 5 star range. It could be upsetting for some people to watch, because it DOES show brutality, sadism, indifferent UN officials suffering from compassion-fatigue. In a word, it is realistic. My wife, the daughter of an ex-RAF air traffic controller, who was born in Tanganyika territory (now Tanzania), found it very upsetting to see, partly because as a child she watched something very similar happening across the border river in Congo in the 1960's.
The film does show the Africans as people, not just a backdrop to fighting and adventuring...and for once, the white people are not shown as almost all wicked or stupid, though the ... Read More:

Since this was filmed mainly in Kent when I was a student there and many of my friends appeared as extras in it, I was always desperate to see this film.
I have one main piece of advice here: if you are a stickler for historical accuracies, please don't buy this film.
Aside from that, I found it rather enjoyable. I have read the book and whilst it doesn't compare, the film is light and entertaining. It's not a particularly serious film, nor is it terribly well acted. But it's definitely enjoyable, which is why I bought it.
If you're not a fan of using the ol' grey matter when being entertained, then try this film out.

A intriguing plot made of a "disgusting" idea (rats cooking in the cusine of a "five star guide" FRENCH restaurant - a politic message ??) and some hilarious situation, with some human secondary "puppet" characters and a rat - not the classic "delicious" comic's mouse - but a "dirty" urban rat (and his dirty "family") like "chef". A satirical plot on the "high level" restoration ? Maybe. But it is a delicious movie (for kids, for adults less: one wonder if the 150 euros "delicious" high level restaurant's food was made by or, more probably "with", some disgusting "hospits" ..)

Similar to The West Wing in may ways, what with tightly written scripts, excellent lead characters, a great cast; it's witty, serious, mocking, romantic, engaging.
I loved it, TV is the poorer for this not being commissioned a second series.

well, i didnt think this was the best season yet. i think the 3rd season wins that title. it was good though. although the new woman Katherine, i'm not so sure of. and i found her storyline to be even less believable than the Applewhite storyline in season 2. i do love this show though, but at times i found myself thinking "how many more lies and schemes can these people get up to?!"
well, the best episode in season 4 was the tornado episode, it was a cracker! and again this season, Lynette and Tom have been fab! and Orson has just got better and better, when he and Bree were staying at Susan's after the tornado, and Susan told him about his naked sleepwalking, well he did something that i just kept rewinding to and laughing my head off at :D also love how utterly selfish Gabrielle is, i dont ...
