Typical Dave Courtney Production, although the acting is a little bad at times, especially by Gary Bushell et al, the scenes where Mr Courtney is " 'aving a word" are quite realistic as this is obviously remanissant of days gone by.
Billy "Don Beech" Murray is typecast in this feature as the rogue brother and there is also un-necessary cameo appearances by retired east-end gangsters with no relevance to the thin storyline.
If you ever have watched "Hard Men" on Bravo TV, then many faces will be familiar in this film. Likewise this would be a typical feature for the Bravo channel.
A fun film to watch with the lads and definately not one to watch with your lady due to the violence and excessive use of bad language.

Well I promise not to mention the editing which seems to have been well covered. Instead I will tell you why I like this film. I like my films to have an air of authenticity and if you wish to know what it was like as a US Calvalry Officer to fight the Apache on their home ground in the American South West then this is the film to watch.
The film is based on a true event when the Apache leader Ulzana broke out of San Carlos Indian Reservation with a handful of warriors and caused widespread panic among the civilian population, to say nothing of leading the US calvalrys best a merry dance in the process. General Crook who spent years hunting down Geronimo described them as the best guerilla fighters to have lived. In that he was not far wrong. ... Read More:

I like this movie a lot, but I find myself fast-forwarding through parts of it. I like the story and the look of the film. I like westerns and I like the way this movie brings back so many themes and yet keeps them fresh. I sure like the actors. Kevin Kline is one of the most likable and accomplished actors around. Scott Glenn, in my view, is one of the most underrated of actors, and one who for whatever reason never was able to break through into major stardom. Linda Hunt brings so much humanity to the movie, and Brian Dennehy brings so much sly, ruthless aggression. I sure liked those long dustbusters he wore. And Kasdan keeps the action going; there are shootouts at regular intervals, as well as bar fights, ambushes, and high-spirited showdowns. Kevin Costner ... Read More:

This isn't just a film about the gunfight at the OK Corral, it is a film about the Earps and what became known as the Earp Vendetta Ride. It simply had the misfortunte of being up against another film about Wyatt Earp that starred Kevin Costner in his prime.
Wyatt Earp (19 March 1848 - 19 January 1929) was at various times in his life a gambler, saloon keeper, farmer, gold miner and lawman.
Virgil Earp (18 July 1843 - 19 October 1905) mainly a gambler but also a well known lawman
Morgan Earp (24 April 1851 - 18 March 1882)
John Henry "Doc" Holliday (14 August 1851 - 8 November 1887) dentist, gambler and gunfighter
The film Tombstone follows the move of the Earp brothers Wyatt (Kurt Russell) and Morgan ... Read More:

Kevin Costner has always been one of those actors you either love or hate, much like the singing and celebrity of Victoria Beckham or Marmite.
It is unfortunate then, that it is these personal feelings which cloud judgement about whether or not to see a film. Because, in a time when the idea of race relations is once again at the forefront of the news, this simple story of a man open to change can tell us a lot.
Lt John Dunbar (Coster) is a civil war hero. Given the choice of outpost as a reward for a selfless act on the battlefield, he picks the furthest place he can find, the prairee. Also known as Indian country.
Far from being the war-mongering madmen his superiors are presented as, Dunbar is a quiet, docile man, eager to learn ... Read More:

This DVD doesn't offer the best-looking print available, but it's still well worth a look. A great performance by Joan Crawford as a proto-feminist businesswoman in the wild west. Sterling Hayden, Mercedes Cambridge, Scott Brady, Ward Bond, Ernest Borgnine and Royal Dano are among the sterling supporting cast.

This multi-layered ,violently staged, intelligent western about an Apache uprising which catches the army by surprise is memorable and an under-rated masterpiece .
Every moment is tense and every character is a real breathing human being whether Apache, black or white.
