Upgraded to a new PC - came with Vista and none of the attached devices that I've had running just fine with XP work any more. That's progress I guess. Most irritatingly, the drivers for the serial-USB link to my Garmin Foretrex 201 would not install with Vista - grrrr.
Anyway, quick search on the web, came across this converter, and it works just fine. Connection dropped out apparently due to data errors a couple of times which I've not seen with my previous converter into XP, but I'm up and running again at a very reasonable cost indeed. >>More Details |

Top marks to ABC products - I received it a day before the promised despatch date. Not much to say about the cable other than it serves its purpose. I hooked it up, Vista saw and installed it and my old HP LaserJet 4L gets a new lease of life.

Now that i have this right angle SATA cable i can actually put the side of my case on :D

i saw this product amongst alot of similar versions.

I have a HP Deskjet 815c and I was a bit concerned that this might not work with my printer especially as it wasn't included in the list on the packet. But NO problem. Followed the instructions and was printing in a couple of minutes from a Vista PC (I also checked the HP website to make sure my printer would work from Vista). Much cheaper than buying a new printer.

ideal for the older printer were no USB connection is available,note with XP, you dont need to install software for most Epson printers, just connect the USB, allow XP to install driver, some older printers may require a XP driver, my opinion, first class buy. I bought two of these.

Had this for a year now. This is a good UPS which does exactly what it says on the box. Only prob is that my pc is so power hungry that I only get five miniutes to shut down. However it enables you to save the work you are doing or to cancel scans etc. So far thou i have not had to rely on it.

I have used this to give me a serial port on my laptop for connecting an old piece of hardware.
After unplugging the serial cable from the converter a few times, the wires inside the converter became disconnected and the device failed to work. Before failure, the converter worked fine but build quality is poor. >>More Details |
