I had problems with my cable but in all honesty wasn't sure if it was this half (GPS TO SERIAL PORT) of the cable or the other half of the cable (USB TO SERIAL PORT) that was at fault.
Downloading was hit and miss, sometimes it would work, other times it said it couldn't find the GPS. It even slipped out of its connection at the GPS end on several occasions. Wiggling the two halfs of the serial connectors together seemed to fix the problem each time the message appeared 'unable to find GPS', but I soon became very annoyed with this and decided to send both halves back. In the end I settled for a one piece cable (not available on this site - see comments) which works perfectly and was cheaper too. >>More Details |

I bought this to replace my Audiax FM Transmitter. I am not sure about the other reviews, but I have been really impressed with this piece of kit.
I was delighted with this. In comparison I found this gave a very acceptable FM signal with barely any Hiss. I also like the fact that this did not have preset frequencies, but have the ability to manually scan through the FM Band. I was also impressed by the inclusion of the car adaptor, as this means there is no more going through batteries. hooray!! >>More Details |

This bit of kit works but really annoyingly you have to also buy a serial to USB adapter (which probably costs more) if you don't have a serial port on your computer. The actual cable is solid and I've never had a problem with over 3 years of heavy use. You can use it both ways as it were. It gives and takes GPS info. For final clarification it works with 101 and 201 in both Foretrex and Forerunner flavours. Still a dumb description by Amazon.

At last! A car adapter that is mercifully short. My cigar lighter is very near the gear stick. Previous adapters stuck so far out of the cigar lighter I couldn't get the car into 3rd gear. This one's nice a short and doesn't protrude too far.
The only gripe is the cable's a bit short so I can't have the Phone on the right of the windscreen, it has to go in the middle. The HTC logo looks cool at night ;-) >>More Details |
