I've been considering getting a satnav for a while and probably like most people have been confused by the array of devices available and confused further by the various reviews given - some good, some bad. With a limited budget in mind and having read largely very good reviews I took the plunge with the Nuvi 250. Any doubts I had have completely gone - it's brilliant! It really is that easy and that good. Ok, so it doesn't have loads of features (you'll get those on more expensive machines) but if you simply want a satnav to tell you how to get to a destination that you've not been to before then it's perfect. I'm really impressed. The instruction manual is surprisingly basic, but it still tells you what you need to know to get started (most ... Read More:

Bought this for my Canon Ixus 40 Camera after I had run out of space on a recent holiday with my 2gb card (I shoot a lot of video on my camera).
I was concerned that 1) The card may not work with the camera, although I thought it probably would and 2) It would not be fast enough to shoot continuous video- cheaper cards I have had before have stopped the video after about 20 seconds because they would not write fast enough. The camera itself will only allow video in 1GB blocks, but the card is fast enough I believe to continue the whole 4GB if it could.
Well, I am pleased to say that there are no worries on either count and the thing works perfectly. I can now shoot nearly 2000 pics or about 35 mins of top quality video on this one card. ... Read More:

I like my TomTom - it's a neatly-designed unit, finds a signal quickly, the maps and display are very clear and maps can be corrected and updated. The directions are precise with clear indications of which lane to be in at tricky junctions and, very useful for me, it has a speed warning which indicates if I am exceeding the speed limit for the road I'm on.
However, I've possibly been unlucky with mine because my first unit would switch itself on at random when not in use and when in use would freeze at the start-up screen although I could operate it using my PC (not that this is any help because I don't need a sat-nav when sitting in my office!). It was returned exchanged as faulty and ... hey-presto, the replacement unit also switches ... Read More:

I ordered two Sony Memory Sticks from Love Digital. They charge a rip-off £3.99 PER item and I still have not received them 10 days later. (The Sony camera I ordered at the same time direct from Amazon arrived in two days for no delivery charge - excellent service from Amazon)
I emailed Love Digital via the Amazon web-site a few days ago, but received no reply. I emailed them again a few days later, but still no reply. How incredibly rude and arrogant.
DO NOT TRUST LOVE DIGITAL. I am now currently going about getting my money back from Amazon. I would not even have awarded 1 star, but there is not an option for no stars.

I use the 305 to train my horse for endurance riding competitions - the combined GPS and heart rate monitor work perfectly and are around 4 times cheaper than the equivalent Polar unit. The heart rate belt is easy to fix to my horse - I just attach it to the inside of the girth, wet my horses skin and then use vetwrap to secure it in place and I get 100% accurate heart rate readings. The fact that the unit reads the heart rate wirelessly and has a good reception range makes it ideal (and easy) to adapt to equine use. I can track avaerage speeds and distances which when you ride solo is a great plus as it can be difficult to judge your pace. The virtual trainer is great for competitions as I can set my speed/distance parameters and instantly know when I'm ... Read More:

Needed a card reader to transfer images to an Sd card for viewing on my Wii.I took a gamble with this one as appossed to the more expensive Belkin product. The reason being that a reviewer stated they had problems with data transfer to larger memory cards, i.e.(1 or 2gigs).
I've experienced no such problems and no overheating worries either.
By the way,its 31p, or was, but the P&P alone is a fiver.

As the previous reviewer says, this product is not as pictured but the slightly bulkier one found around on ebay and other Amazon sellers. Because of the inaccurate advertising (the only reason I bought this one over the cheaper ones) I have given it one star.
It does however work like the official, but is not as neat and you have to push in the two sides of the ipod dock connector plug to release it.

This is my first sat nav and so far I have been impressed at how easy it is to use and overall with its accuracy, however on a recent journey it did on two occasions give slightly misleading turn directions, as well as not detecting two safety camera locations despite having installed camera updates via Garmin, but then what sat nav is perfect?
The re-routing should you miss your turn is very good and for a low cost sat nav it seems to do everything very well, but it's a shame Garmin did not include a £2 usb data cable and I was also unable to register the product online with Garmin and therefore had to contact customer services to register.
So if you are looking for a low cost sat nav the Nuvi 200w does the job very well.
