It worked perfectly for just over 12 months then the screen started to loose contrast on start-up and became very 'pale'. This could be rectified by slightly flexing the case and was an intermittent but only a slightly annoying feature.
However, about 18 months after purchase the screen 'flipped' 180 degrees and it was impossible to access data as the underlying touch technology remained in its original position. I did all the resets etc but still no joy. Contacted Palm and seems the 'digitaliser' is to blame and will cost £110 to replace.
Lets do the maths £180 for original T|X plus £110 repair = £290 which over 18 months = approx £16 per month ...
Seems like it would be good money after bad.

I've had this device for a few weeks now and have only just started reading the manual. It really is extremely easy to get up and running with this. I bought it as replacement for my aging Sharp organiser with keyboard, and was worried that having to use a stylus was going to be much slower and more fiddly. But it's fine - you get used to it really quickly and the space saved by not having the keyboard is fantastic.
There were a few things that I bemoaned not having - mainly preferences and settings - which I accepted because of the price and size. And then I read the manual - and this opened up another new world with this little gem! You can tweak nearly everything - you can tailor things to remind you in exactly the way you want to be reminded, ... Read More:

I was debaiting on Palm Z22/E2/TX as i wouldn't use this item for big files or watching videos/music, I just wanted a powerful organizer.
I've had Microsoft windows based mobiles/PDA before and they are so slow and always have memory problems or glitches and won't sync with PC.
This palm syncs with my PC brilliantly and after a week of playing with it i'm very happy as it does what I want.
My only gripe is that this PDA doesn't appear to complete turn it's self off as it goes into power saving mode, but I like it as it's always ready to use at a moments notice.
overall I'm very happy with this PDA even though it was orginally made in 2005 but most people make the mistake of going for a windows based PDA with phones included ... Read More:

This is my first PDA, and after checking online, I decided to purchase this one. I am glad, as it does everything I want it to.
I was going to get the Tungsten E2, but as it wouldnt arrive for a couple of weeks, and I am inpaitent, I decided to save a bit of money and get little one. I ordered it on Tuesday morning, and it arrived on Wednesday morning, thanks speedy Amazon.
The little Palm Zire 31 does everything that I want it to do, at an excellent price, also with an MP3 player, the size can be anything you want, as you add your own SD card (Which I am currently waiting for from Amazon)
On the set up disk, you can add different things, such as Solitare and Mobile DB which I find extremely useful.

Bought mine in Dec 2007, and used it for about a month but with great difficulty due to a faulty power button. I googled this and discovered that this fault was reasonably common on these models. I eventually returned it and got my money back. I liked using it, and found it easy to use with WiFi, and would have kept it but for the fault. It was easy to use the Opera browser, but I noticed that some websites did not render properly, for instance Facebook. This may have been rectified by now, I'm not sure. I know there has been an OS upgrade since I had mine. The webcam was a little disappointing, but I wasn't planning on using that so it didn't put me off, but sound was good.

The PDA is fine, but will not work with a memory card in situ. Contrary to what you might read, SD cards in axcess of 1GB memory are not supported by HP or the SD card manufacturers for this device.
I bought a Kingston 2 GB SD memory card based on a review of the iPAQ and it is not recognised by the PDA and no one can (or will) give me any help. A waste of money.

Research in Motion's (RIM) early attempts at mating its popular wireless email device/handheld with a mobile phone didn't turn out as well as the company had hoped. But the BlackBerry 7230, RIM's first colour-screen model, is a different story. Offered by T-Mobile, Vodafone and O2 in the UK for around £200 (inc. VAT), the 7230 combines a GSM/GPRS world phone, a handheld and wireless email capabilities in a slim, 136g unit that doesn't require an earbud to talk on.
Design
Some jokingly refer to the 7230 as a 'BlueBerry' rather than a BlackBerry because of its blue casing. At 7.4cm by 11.3cm by 2cm, the unit is compact for a smartphone -- male buyers will probably wear it clipped to their belts using the included swivelling holster.
After craving a Psion organiser for many years, I took the plunge some time back while on e-bay (Amazon is even better!).
I found the Psion far out weighed any wild hopes I had of it, and while it may be blak & white touch screened only, it's crystal clear and sharp to read.
Diary (years of, reoccuring dates & anniversaries), contacts (100's of Filofaxed addresses and contacts), all my phone details (1 yr old phone infrared beamed to a 7 year old Psion), pages of notes, jottings, reminders, and sketches etc etc all sitting on about 2mb out of 16mb, not including the 256mb card for backup!
It never fails to switch on instantly, it's intuitive & never crashes;yes there are lots of multimedia pda;s & handhelds out there, but this to me still has the crown.

I have had the hp h5550 for the last three years now, the idea was i could use it while at university and transfer stuff to my pc when i got home. The only problem is, it hasn't worked properly from day one. In fact i think i've had it working for no more than 4 full days!! It doesn't keep its power, when there is power it won't link to my pc by either the usb or serial port. and now to top it off when I really need to use it again, the bloody thing will now no longer charge up.
If there is any advice I can give anyone, its for god sake please don't buy this. You will regret it.
