.....its far, far too quiet. Apparently an EU directive was brought in which ensured we all look after our ears by reducing the volumes on our personal hi-fi's. I cant hear my music on the Victoria line or when using garden power tools at work, even when all settings are max'd. Hopefully a hack will become available soon as this is really hindering my listening pleasure. On the plus side the battery life is now fantastic and the machine is as slick as before. Earphones are still pretty dire and they no longer include the nice little wallet to keep it in that they used to supply which is a shame.

The price for sd cards just amazes me,to think just a few years ago you would be paying at least £150 -£200,for this card.The first memory card ibought was a sandisk 512 mb,it cost me nearly £60 from argos.So i do not mind paying the extra postage,which i find very reasonable, CHEAP AS CHIPS AYE SAY!!!

Everyone knows about this card's storage space available. Though now there the Extreme IV and Ducati versions, with speed over 40MB/s, you really need a top-end camera or card reader.
But these babies now are presented in the 30MB/s version, well above what my camera can cope and even more than my Extreme USB reader can muster. The speed, combined with no faults in years of severe usage/abuse, and a no-frills warranty make this the safest buy. I wouldn't go above 4GB for security purposes. I use my transcend card for storing MP3 which I can then play on my car stereo. It's worked fine for almost a year, so I'd probably buy a Transcend card again, though maybe not from Amazon as the £9 delivery charge seems a bit steep for such a tiny item, which can only cost about 50p to post!

Excellent speedy service, arrived 5 days after purchase. Works perfectly and easily and is not a fake despite other comments. Comes with a 2GB micros SD, USB micro SD reader (that works for me at least), R4 card and the R4 Card casing + strap. No software included, but it can be easily downloaded from r4ds.com. A Great buy!

I don't think i've done anything stupid -camera supports sdhc and i've formatted etc but this card won't work for me - i just get a "faulty card" or "card error" message come up like some of the other customers on amazon have had when buying memeory cards. I'm off to buy another and try that.

I bought this card for my handheld GP2X console as I got fed up swapping smaller cards around.
Its perfect for the job, right now its full of game ROMs, pictures, videos, MP3s, Ebooks and GP2X apps. All have behaved faultlessly, and I'm able to play 700M movies at 25fps with no stuttering or other problems. I have filled and emptied the card quite a few times as I swap my MP3 and movie collection around and there's never been a hint of a glitch. And I paid less for it than I did for my first 1G card not so long ago! I'd recommend Transcend, and as soon as the 16G cards drop in price I'm going to buy one! >>More Details |
