Absoulute waste of money, focus is slow to react, the camara takes a picure its that slow at least 2 seconds, pray the subject does want to move for a while, doesnt like quite a few sd cards keeps locking them out the bundled software might be ok couldnt comment at that though refused to except the serial on the box or inside the battery compartment you can always phone them but you wont have any success there either my advice for the money go and by a mini dv camara and a firewire cable and pcmcia card if you dont have one for around the same price your be happier.

This seemed to work ok initially taking short videos and photos but then I used it to record a gig and the (new) batteries died after a few monutes of filming. I changed them only to have the new batteries die even quicker. I ended up recording the rest of the gig using my phone and then to my dismay found that none of the footage I recorded with the camera had actually saved. I feel totally ripped off and let down. What a waste of money.

I have given this projector 1 Aiptek Pocket Cinema V10 star because, if purely required for presentations, it may be satisfactory. I have not tested it for this or for photos - just for movie files. The instructions clearly state that if you convert an avi or MP4 file using the Arcsoft software that comes with the device, it will play it. I have tried this using various test files created in different ways and have not been able to get any file to play correctly on this device. I have used other conversion software that I have a lot of experience with (avidemux), in case the software that came with the device (Arcsoft) was at fault, and that didn't work either.
I am very upset as this was a special Christmas present for my husband. I have spent hours ... Read More:

Easy to use, records straight onto an SD card which then plays back in reasonable quality on my TV and my Windows Media Player.
Takes both still pictures and video with ease. I probably use this more than my main camcorder as I do alot of You Tube clips and post them online. This is perfect the that!!
I have the model sold in America as the Action-HD. The quality of the video in daylight is remarkable for such an inexpensive camcorder (its about 120 pounds in the US including tax). I am able to record 1080p at full speed using a class 4 SD card, although a class 6 will be welcome for getting video off the camera and onto the computer. Indoor performance in good light is a bit more limited, though the quality is good enough to down convert 1080p to 720p and remove most of the noise. The inbuilt led video light adds little benefit unless the subject is very close, and the widest angle is not enough for more than a head shot. The auto focus tends to wander indoors and low light as well, but works very well outdoors. Macro mode is good and is easily switched on. Night ... Read More:

Firstly battery longivity...on a pair of fully charged rechargable 2000mAh batteries on continuous record i got at least 35 minutes before the indicator started to blink a little, which is a better indication than testing it with the pair it came with or "standard" Duracell.
Build quality is quite good. The screen appears sturdy, and it is a small unit therefore it will feel light and it is relatively inexpensive compared with a full blown mini DV Cam (which cost much more). There are pros and cons with all types of cam. This one fits in your pocket, uses handy sd cards and wont cost the earth if lost/stolen.The movie quality is youtube in similarity (i.e. the better ones)and sound is fine.
Obviously if optimal quality is your thing then spend £300+ on something ... Read More:

I`ve held back from reviewing this purchase because I wanted to film the Dolphin Show at Portugals Zoomarine in Guia.Which I did in May(Mai) of this year. The show is fast moving throughout & would be the acid test for ANY machine, let alone one of modest price and non mainstream brand. The results were excellent with no trails or smearing + you can watch back in either HD or Standard format! Take two batteries as it does eat the juice but don`t hesitate: Get this one pronto! I`d score it 10 if that were possible!- Bill Cameron
