The Asus P6T Deluxe is based on Intel's X58 chipset and has the LGA1366 socket of the new Core i7 range of CPUs.
Utilizing this ASUS P6T-Deluxe with i7 920 CPU a Gainward HD 4870 1Gb graphics card and 6GB of Patriot's latest triple channel memory you will be able to push the system to a awesome 4,009 MHz (21x191) with memory speed at DDR3-1528 on 7-8-7-20 1N settings. **OUTSTANDING**
In other words Crysis, CoD4 and Mass Effect frame rates will shoot up to smooth levels others dream about. I haven't even mention the benefits of the new i7 processor yet with its exceptional multimedia encoding and transcoding scores.
...and the best thing, this result was achieved with basic air-cooling !!
I have just bought this machine when there are several other models on the market, but this is now the cheapest and I got it for £149.00. I was impressed immediately with the way it functions and the speed at which it starts up. It works well, bearing in mind that it is not windows, but this is a plus for me: I wanted a small and lean, basic computer that is really portable. This is and the operating systems and bundle of applications are easy to use, if very slightly different from MS Office applications. I use PC's, Mac's and Linux and open office is becoming my preferred choice much of the time, lately. The best part of it is portability and functionality: it works well and speedily, but I don't expect bells and whistles - I don't want them. ... Read More:

This is a great little soundcard, small, solid, looks good, works well, and most of all sounds good too.
The good:
- Can do 5.1 surround via an optical cable, if your speakers support this or you have a decoder, my Z-5500s support this so no need for a decoder
- Small solidly built device, looks good and comes in various colors
- Drivers play well with vista x64, no problems yet, the software is easy enough to use.
- Surround sound in games works with EAX 1.0 and 2.0. Also i *think* it can do 3.0-5.0 with a driver update, DS3D GX 2.0 is the thing that enabled software emulation of EAX's 3.0-5.0 with xonar cards and this card says it has that with the latest driver update from the ASUS website, ... Read More:

The primary reason I wanted this graphics card was to enable my 42" flat screen television to be used as a monitor. I had to buy a DVI to HDMI cable to do this (about £6) and after some messing around with fonts and resolutions, it worked perfectly. I can display my Windows XP desktop in 1920x1080 resolution and it is excellent. It is an improvement over my old graphics card so games run much faster but I'm told that the latest offerings from nVidia are vastly better. I am sure this is so but for all the stuff I have used it for (1st person shooter games) it has worked more than adequately and at around £30 it's a steal. I'd give it 5 stars but the delivery company, UPS, failed to deliver on the 'first attempt' (they said) despite the fact I was available. ... Read More:
