I bought a few of these from Amazon marketplace (A V Limited) and they turned out fake - completely rubbish. Beware of buying from this seller.
I've rated this product 5 stars as I own a genuine pair and they are absolutely brilliant! Very deep bass whilst still pushing out clear highs.

these headphones have been designed for great sound. they have thought about everything from the careful leaving out of a volume control, to the gold plated connection. they really pack a punch: the bass can make your spine vibrate and even the highest volumes don't damage the quality of the sound, except for sometimes at very high pitches at very very loud, it can become slightly tinny. they are also so comfortable that after a while you forget you're wearing them. i think that sennheiser would not dare damage their reputation by producing anything that wasn't up to their very high standards, and even if they made a bigger profit from this individual product, if the headphones weren't up to standard, customers would think twice before buying from them again. ... Bought this item back in January and found the right hand ear bud lost all sound after a month.
Returned and quickly replaced with a new set, without quibble.
After 3 months the new set started to have a few minor cracks/splits in the wire covering; At the connection to the right ear piece. Then the just above the splitter, then on both sides and along the middle of the wire.
Now just over 4 months since replacement, it has cracks/splits all over the wire and sound again in the right ear is almost gone.
The wire is getting wrapped loosely round the ipod and so may well be my own fault. But what else are you going to do with them between uses?
Will be returning them once again, but doubt i will buy this brand again.

These headphones sound great and are fine for sport but, and it's a big BUT, if you want to wear them lying down, sitting in a high backed chair (on a bus, train, plane, sofa etc) forget it! The band around the back of your head is pushed forward and dislodges the earpieces from their proper position. This is uncomfortable and destroys the sound. If this is not bad enough the insulation covering the wires started to come off after a couple of weeks of normal use. After one year nearly half the insulation has gone and the wire tangles and looks a total mess. These headphones have been on the market a long time yet nothing seems to have been done about this problem. I will never buy Sennheiser again.

I was alerted to these headphones after the Which? website reccomended them. I was looking for a pair of affordable headphones which still managed excellent sound quality and comfort and I was not dissappointed by the Sennheiser PX100. I use them whilst walking, commuting and running (for busses).
The pads on the inside of the headband make these headphones extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this style over the in-ear buds for comfort too. They are also convenient and portable as they fold to fit a carry case (the case itself is actually not entirely necessary). On top of this, the sound quality is surprisingly good for its depth and bass - the volume isn't dissappointing either. I listen to every genre from classical to jazz and from reggae to metal ... I thought these were the dogs to begin with but I'm glad I waited until now to submit my review (some 4 months after I bought them) because the sound quality has now diminished to the extent that the music is only just audible at full blast. I wonder how long people owned these earphones for before they gave them a 4/5 star rating? It could, of course, be that I just got a duff batch or could it be that they're simply garbage? You decide but with plenty of others to choose from I suggest you scrutinize the reviews before you pays yer money & takes yer choice...

The people who gave these heaphones one star must have brought broken ones as my PX200 works as good as the PX100, but I say the PX200s are better than the PX100s and they sound brilliant in an iPod.

Great quality and excellent range - can wear them while outside tinkering in the garage with no break-up or distortion. Very comfortable to wear.
One or two reviews have complained of 'hiss' during pauses. You can virtually irradicate this by turning volume on headset down, and turning up volume on input device.
