This product works very well once one sorts out the playback. I am using it with a Sony Vaio notebook and it works well once I found the right settings. The free software, I think Audacity, works, but it does not sort out tracks - just sucks everything in as one huge kluge. Reason for not giving five stars is this software. I have solved that problem by spending a small amount of money on 'Spin it Again' software, which deals with levels and separates the music into tracks automatically, while still giving the opportunity to edit it. The sound quality of the tracks loaded is remarkably good.

I guess you can't expect much for the money but this is really plasticky and produces a tinny, poor sound. I couldn't get the USB to work - tried it on 3 different machines running XP - all produced an error message 'USB device not recognised'. Biggest problem though is that the sound is so poor you cannot even use it as a regular analogue turntable. Just a waste of time.
