This USB stick is fast enough, and has lots of space. It may be a little bigger than most people are used to for USB sticks, but that is no problem for me, as I already have a tiny one I carry around. Unfortunately, this stick did not work for the specific thing I bought it for, which is as a solid state disk for a NSLU2 server. I've formatted this stick with Fat32, NTFS and Ext2, and tried everything I possibly could, but can't get the NSLU2 to recognise it properly. I didn't send the stick back because I'm sure it will come in handy.

My home computer has a built in memory card reader. However it was purchased in 2005 and cannot read SDHC cards. So I bought this little gadget, the Transcend S5 compact SDHC card reader. I've only had it a few days but so far it's working just great. It saves me having to link my camera (Panasonic TZ2) up to the computer. The TZ2 is great too but on for one thing, it doesn't come supplied with a mains lead so when downloading images the camera relies on its own battery power. I'd not used a card reader like this before but I'm really hooked on the S5. Thanks guys. (you know who you are)

I specifically wanted a 16GB card to go with my Panasonic HDC-SD9 camcorder. In my opinion, there's not much point going for anything smaller if you want to shoot in full HD - this card is good for 2 hours' recording at the highest quality HD and 4 hours at "normal" HD.
Having used it quite regularly for about five weeks so far, the card seems to be of good quality - I regularly remove and replace the card, and there's no sign of wear and tear on the contacts, as you would expect.
Having the USB reader is a very useful bonus. I already own one of those multi-card USB readers, so I didn't strictly need this as such, but because it is a dedicated SD-only reader it is obviously much smaller and slots easily into my camera ... Read More:
