Works just fine with Vista Ultimate. Very fast but does get hot. Some notes: This runs off mains and is obviously set up for PC users. As the instructions warned, some computers won't boot up with the external drive turned on. So turn it on afterwards. Also, run a disk error checking utilily on your C drive and on the Philips before attempting a Vista Ultimate mirror backup, or you might have problems. Good practice anyway.

To counter recent critical reviews, I can state that I am very pleased with my Classic and have been since buying it at the end of last year. It is worth shopping around for a good price - here is usually pretty good.
My only disappointment was the lack of a paper manual but that is more through a sense of expecting to see a glossy book to go with a comparatively expensive purchase. I need not have worried as I Tunes was quite easily loaded onto my PC and then everything worked out in a quite straightforward way. I guess that using Windows Vista may help with this. I did weaken and bought one of the 'Handbook that should have been in the box' type manuals. That gave a few helpful hints but is definitely not an essential.
If you worked out what it costs per unit of electricity to use disposable batteries, you'd buy rechargeables to fit all your portable power needs. These ones seem to work well.

Before i had a creative webcam and it wasnt very good, so i decided to buy a new one. i only wanted a basic webcam as i used it for msn chats. And im glad i picked this cam as its the best ive used, its clear, and has a good intake of light,so if the room is dim, the picture wil still be clear. It is well worth the money, so i suggest it highly.

I bought this after owning/using several other cameras. I wanted something smallish I could carry around that would give me enough versatility to allow the SLR to stay at home.
In the shop it was up against the Canon G9. I took some pictures with both and the one that required the least effort to get a good shot was the TZ5.
The winning factors were:
Very good image stabilization
Excellent lens and zoom range
Great screen
Good build quality
Easy to use
What's not so good is:
Sound in movie mode is poor, but useable. Just use a camcorder. Most digital cameras record at 30FPS, UK TV is 25 FPS. So they give slighly jerky playback anyway. But they do look good on a PC. TZ5 looks as good as any I've ... Read More:

First off the 3G owners, you may have seen a review on here saying it works for the iphone 3G, this is true but has a very big issue. My review of 3 stars has nothing to do with the 3g aspect, please read further down if the iPhone does not apply....
iPhone 3G

When you plug your 3g phone into the cradle it displays (on the phone) "This Device is not designed for your phone do you wish to activate airplane mode to stop fm interference?". Now I didn't expect this based on the previous review, I told the phone to leave the phone active, when I started playing music via the fm transmitter everything was fine. Until, I left the music playing a jumped into maps, at which point the whole signal went all over th place as the 3g kicked in and ... Read More:

I bought 2 of these flash drives for reasons not really mentioned in any of the other reviews.
I recently bought and installed a new Sony Radio/CD player for my car, and it has amongst other things a USB port for connecting external devices. I ripped & transfered several hundred music MP3's to my flash drive for use in my car. It does away with having to carry loads of CD's in the car (reduces the chance's of theft), you don't need a bulky CD changer in the boot, the tracks don't skip if you drive over some really bad road surfaces, you are not constantly having to change CD's while driving. I just plug it in, switch on the shuffle mode and it plays all my favourite tracks in random order. It's just like having a jukebox in the car, and when you park up, you just put the flash drive ...
