So, reception is par excellence. Under trees it can lose confidence and the reception circle can widen but even when the unit has lost confidence I am usually bang on the point that it suggests.
I have been using it for general route tracking - the receiver even keeps a good track on a train!, GeoCaching - it lacks the notes section of a Colorado but it's great for this and I suspect more robust than a Colorado.
And finally tracking boat rides to dive sites and marking off waypoints for the dive sites. I didn't even hesitate to do this. The unit is rugged and I added one of the Garmin neoprene cases to it just to keep scratches off it when thrown into the dive bag with the other gear. I should probably tie a float to ... Read More:

This review is pitched at those of you that want a sat nav for yourself / significant other. It is aimed at you because you're looking at the lower end of the price range and because if you don't already have a TomTom the chances are either you've got an old one that you've had enough of or you're only just getting round to buying one even though you've done very well thank you with a road atlas.
So, what's the difference between this and other £100 ones? OK, here's my experience. I've used 3 different forms of sat nav. The first is a £100 Garmin unit I bought my girlfriend. The second is a Blaunpunkt unit that was reduced to £80 from £160 and which I despised and subsequently returned for a refund. The third is this one.

This device is unreliable with (either of 2) Palm Tungsten T running Soaringpilot. either drops bluetooth connection, or looses satellite view after a few minutes. works ok with a standard laptop though.
I subsequently bought a (used) holux 236, which works perfectly.
Bought this as Belkin appear to be reputable brand. Whilst not an expert, I am reasonably PC literate and have set up wireless networks (successfully) before. I installed it as per instructions. It went like a dream and I was on the internet in minutes. That night I switch off PC. Next day, switch on - no wireless connection. Try to open Belkin software and it tells me to connect the adapter 1st - it is already connected! No matter what, software won't open and cannot get a connection. Tried various things, including uninstalling and starting from scratch, but no joy. It's going back for a refund tomorrow.

I bought this PDA for my daughter and it is her first. I should add that my daughter has Dyspraxia so her coordination and here attention span is lacking. She generally gets bored after 3-5 minutes no matter what she is doing. So I wanted a PDA which was easy to use, instructions second to none to follow and the PDA had to be able to allow here to use a diary and address book effortlessly. This PDA does all that. In fact I had said that if she got on well with this PDA I would upgrade it to a HP at Christmas. Guess what, the PDA excels and she doesn't see the point in upgrading. Excellent PDA for the first time user. Recommended.

I understood the dock+remote would allow me to connect my iPod to the audio/video inputs of my equipment and control my iPod remotely. Well, it depends on what you consider "control the iPod remotely" to be. It does allow me to play/pause/skip, but it doesn't allow me to navigate the iPod menu. So, if you want to browse your songs/videos/photos, or if you want to switch from watching a video to listen a song, you need to reach for your iPod and use it. That restricts *a lot* the usefulness of the remote. (I don't understand how the other 2 reviews could be positive at all...)

As many of the other reviews say the 920T is feature rich and many of them work very well. The satellite lock on is excellent, I've used the Navigation very successfully in UK and USA cities. It has flaws though, the menus are clunky, I've never found how to set speed preferences and as with most Sat Navs it can bizarrely recommend local routes several miles longer than the ideal.
What really annoys me is it's advertised as covering Europe - it doesn't. Well not unless Europe has suddenly lost Greece. Tom Tom won't even sell you an add on map for Greece (it doesn't do Malta either). So if you're off to Greece and counting on a Tom Tom to help you navigate - right now best forget it.

I bought this unit 3 weeks ago from Halfords for £99 and have used it almost everyday since. Its a very good example of using good technology to make a very user-friendly product. It was very easy to set-up straight out of the box and personalise after registering on the Garmin website.
Then Garmin sent me a map update CD which I connected to the unit via my laptop and let the CD installer do its job. In the middle of the update, the USB cable got disconnected and that was the start of a big problem. the unit froze up and when I restarted it, showed the Garmin GPS BSOD - 'No detailed mapping available. Your Streetpilot cannot function'. The computer would not longer recognise the unit as a peripheral. I tried myGarmin support but tthat takes forever to load. ... Read More:

I've had my BFQ450 for 5 years and was browsing the web looking for a replacement.
I would agree with other comments that the key do stick down and need to be pressed firmly, there is also a tendency for one key to not respond as quickly as the others leading to some misspelling which can be annoying. It has been pretty resilient, after 4 years the only damage is one of the lid hinges which has come loose.
Probably the MOST annoying thing is that when you do make a spelling mistake or, as I commonly do, try to translate an English word in French or vice versa you can't cancel the operation and just switch languages You either have to wait until it tells you that it can't find the word, or turn it off and retype everything, remembering to press the keys ... Don't be misled by other reviews, these screen protectors do not need cutting to size for a DS LITE, one is for the top screen and one is for the bottom (which is slightly smaller!!)I have two DS's and bought two packs of these, the first set went on no probs, second set I got a speck of dust underneath but my fault for not using the cloth to wipe the screen first. If you look at other reviews for HORI screen protectors on gaming websites/forums you will see that these are the ones most recommended. They are much stronger than the ones I got from GAME-if you can scratch one of these then check your stylus or don't press so hard! If you clean the screen first then you shouldn't have a problem!
