Christmas is coming so save your cash! Why purchase something you can get for a fiver.
Go to bargaingadgets4u.co.uk and sign up. Complete ONE offer- I would recommend Gala Bingo (you know, the one Sharon Osborne advertises for on tv),as this is cheap and fun (and you might win some money in the process!). If you really don't want to spend, there is a free Lovefilm trial.
All companies are well known so there is no risk involved- give it a go! I got my Ipod and many other things this way, so don't miss out.
I was a sceptic once but now I am SO glad I gave it a chance. BBC approved this system on their Newsnight programme a while back.
I bought what I thought was a new s90i from amazon only to find it was a factory repacked version ---- it would have cost 20+pounds less direct from navman----as such it would not load any camera updates so it had to go back to navman for furher service before it would perform correctly. So buy elsewere if you plan to use all its functions ----otherwise its a great product when sorted.

Used the Forerunner 301 for the first time after it arrived today and I am extremely impressed. Downloaded the latest Training Center software and this works flawlessly on 64 bit Vista. The interface with Google Earth is a superb addition and proved the accuracy of the GPS - easily within the <10m tolerance as specified. I ran along beaches, a riverside and roads and all the GPS plots of my run matched in Google Earth spot on. This obviously means that the speed/pace readings will also be accurate and with the excellent totally flexible editable workout facility this is going to be a big motivator to get me back out training regularly to get me fit for Windsurfing. I will also be able to use the Forerunner to check out the speeds I can get up to on my Windsuring kit. ... Read More:

I had problems with my cable but in all honesty wasn't sure if it was this half (GPS TO SERIAL PORT) of the cable or the other half of the cable (USB TO SERIAL PORT) that was at fault.
Downloading was hit and miss, sometimes it would work, other times it said it couldn't find the GPS. It even slipped out of its connection at the GPS end on several occasions.
Wiggling the two halfs of the serial connectors together seemed to fix the problem each time the message appeared 'unable to find GPS', but I soon became very annoyed with this and decided to send both halves back.
In the end I settled for a one piece cable (not available on this site - see comments) which works perfectly and was cheaper too.

This is our first and will be our last GPS for walking - If the others available are in anyway similar to this, anyway.
We bought this some time ago and managed to get it working. As one of the other reviewers commented, it certainly does have a high learning curve and require a lot of patience to get to grips with. Garmin make you jump through hoops to install this device. For example, why should I have to register online? I have bought it new, I have a serial number - why do I need to register online as well? The instructions that come with the device are not particularly comprehensive, either. You just have a work out a lot of it, yourself.
However, we did get it working and I even invested in MemoryMap mapping software to use with the GPS (excellent ... Read More:

Pros
* Long Battery life
* Has a Bluetooth connection, Audio book, MP3 and you can purchase add ons like the traffic management aerial/European maps and the maps and firmware are upgradeable.
* It has a detour button so if you suddenly find the road blocked it will navigate a different route
Cons
* The biggest problem for me is that it doesn't have a "direction arrow window" of the up coming turn, so you have to follow the white arrow (wherever it is on the map), my old Route 66 was so reliable it could guide me by the voice instructions alone, just glance down if I missed an instruction and check the handy direction arrow for next turn arrow in the left hand corner of the screen - not with Nuvi - I find I have to concentrate on the sat nav screen a lot more. ...
