I found this product to be great value for money and just what I was looking for for my PDA sat Nav.The holder rotates through 360 degrees and can also be fixed onto the air vent with the adaptor supplied.The supplier of this product was particularly helpful and friendly when I had cause to contact them and they provided me with A1 service.I had previously used a different device which included very small parts- plastic bits, springs etc, which kept falling off or getting lost down the air vent making the holder as good as useless.This item seems much simpler and practical in it's design.

Unfortunately this case makes the iPhone ridiculously hard to use. Because the iPhone is touch sensitive the thickness of the case interferes with how quickly the screen blacks out after you remove the phone from your ear, making it hard to cancel calls or use the touch screen during calls.

If you are looking for a great value smartphone, and ideally have an unlimited data-plan and EDGE coverage (although normal GPRS speeds is fine on many occasions), then you can't go wrong with this baby.
This smartphone basically gives you mobile internet ready to go. I use mine to check emails, send and receive attachments, browse the web, and now with tons of popular mobile-formatted websites its even better and faster. I use it to shop on amazon uk, check news and weather on the bbc, and check my bank statements. Bought this unit (with UK Maps) a couple of weeks ago - it worked straight out of the box and communicated with my phone and the headset with no problems. Linking it to the PC updated the firmware - the Tom Tom Home software is quite good.
Menu's are quite good and intuitive with a useful range of features. Anyway, spent a couple of days blissfully travelling back and forward to and from work - into the sun both ways so the screen display seemed fine. Come the weekend and my chance to take the unit for a run..... I was woefully disappointed by the screen. I bought this to replace my Audiax FM Transmitter. I am not sure about the other reviews, but I have been really impressed with this piece of kit.
I was delighted with this. In comparison I found this gave a very acceptable FM signal with barely any Hiss. I also like the fact that this did not have preset frequencies, but have the ability to manually scan through the FM Band. I was also impressed by the inclusion of the car adaptor, as this means there is no more going through batteries. hooray!! >>More Details |

This was such a waste for money for me!
As an OU student I was very keen to buy an electronic dictionary/thesaurus - I chose this one as it seemed a reasonable price and promised much. What the packaging doesn't tell you is that the screen is tiny, the text difficult to read, and the definitions are very limited. I have ended up having to spend 3 times as much to get a really good model with a big screen, as I just found this model a waste of time, money and energy. My advice is to save up and get a more expensive model, or stick to the heavy and cumbersome - but much more detailed - paper versions. >>More Details |

Bought this unit before an RV holiday in the US - it really is invaluable abroad, especially in the US where most paper maps are not so good. It takes a huge amount of stress out of driving, primarily through a single feature - showing how far ahead your next turn is. This means you are not constantly looking out for that elusive road on the left - you can relax until you get very close to it, and then its usually obvious. Its quick to recalculate a route if you deviate from the chosen one, so it really doesn't matter even you miss a turn somewhere, it will always get you to your destination. I agree with most of the other reviews that this is a very useful item to own for a student of Spanish. However, I have contacted Franklin UK with a problem that I have found since owning my 1490.
I cannot find any way to conjugate the important verb "haber" which is used extensively in the compound tenses of Spanish. Otherwise the grammar lessons, games and other features are great however, and it is nicely made. >>More Details |
