The Apple Remote (NOT iPod remote as some people think it's sole purpose is) is an excellent solution for control from distance. I bought this for my MacBook so I could control iTunes from across the room, and be able to use Front Row while sitting down. Both can be done effortlessly!
Buttons included are Menu, Volume + and -, Track Forwards and Backwards, and Play/Pause. Note that these buttons ultimately become Left, Right, Up, Down, and OK buttons on Front Row, which surfaces Apples innate ability to give simplicity a new definition.
Somehow, incredibly, the remote can be used without even pointing it at the MacBook. Since it's Infa Red, I really don't understand this! It's incredible. But since you must actually ... Read More:

This little gadget, small enough to put in your pocket, is a MUST for any travelrs to Spanish speaking destinations who have any hesitancy!
Great for giving you the missing word in the sentence that just slips ouit of your mind, or alternatively, giving you enough words to make a understandable request!
Easy to use (My 10 year old brother thinks so too) Good buy!

I bought these expensive phones thinking I was buying top quality and design - but what a mistake. The so-called HD sound quality is a joke - as another reviewer says it sounds as though the other person is talking through a long tunnel. The buttons are too small and the battery life is poor. One packed up altogether just after the warranty expired so in the end cut my losses and bought a much cheaper Panasonic set - which has superb sound quality and battery life. Philips should withdraw this from the market, if they had any sense.

I think these used to be £60-£65, and even at £45 could be a hint cheaper.
I bought this recently for my 2g Touch - mainly wanted a dock and mains charger (which I still believe should have been supplied with the ipod itself, as it did with my last ipod).
I was looking at the ped3 stand by thought out - but for the extra few pounds you get a composite video connector of good quality and another (groan) remote. Notably the usb mains connector comes with a uk plug, and two other types of two pin plugs which could be useful for travel, and the connecting usb lead is the same as the one with the ipod (so you have a spare)
This universal dock design is a bit long in the tooth now, no doubt at some point it will get updated, but I really like ... Read More:
