I upgraded my original cassette/radio for one of these, and I'm not disappointed. I specifically wanted a volume dial to turn, which is fairly positive, though could be a bit heavier... Its nice to look at too, bright blue light around the volume and red illumination for the other buttons.
It has a random function, which is handy for my mp3 cds, though one complaint I do have is that the Previous and Next (<< + >>) buttons, do not do random, they move to the next song number. I feel this could easily be improved. Clear sound, with no cd skipping so far for me, and I have been down some fairly rough tracks.
Its the quality you expect from Pioneer, in a stylish, subtle package. I don't like over the top chrome and LEDs ... Read More:

This is an excellent way to manage CD storage in-car. The visor fitting holds enough CDs to keep you happy for a few journeys, and you get a better overall idea of what you have in there compared to a traditional folder storage system. It's also really easy to fit and remove (using the velcro straps).
I drive a small car with an extremely small glove compartment, so this a welcome way to free up some space. Security isn't really an issue as it folds up and away when you're parked, hiding the discs from view.
Since having mine, I've had many people ask me where they can get their own - well, here's your chance!

I agree with the other post. This is unusable at least with my EU nano 3g. The volume is far too low because it uses the dock for audio which you cannot increase. Its not the FM signal that is faint because it tunes in fine and no hiss, just the sound is so low you have to have your radio on full to hear it. Then because of this, if you have a quiet patch of music itrip switches off because the unit thinks you are not playing anything. Then you get deafened with hiss because the itrip transmission has stopped and your radio is on full, then to make matters worse you have to retune the itrip as it doesn't remember the frequency. If you have anything other than thrash metal playing it does this every 20 seconds - completely unusable and a shame ... Read More:

Hi, had the Sony CDXGT828 bout a week now and feel compelled to write, as I found it hard to find any user reviews.
Visually a nice fascia, chrome knob has a nice band of rubber around it, aiding grip.
The front usb sits behind a flap which looks and feels class.
The usual Sony back drop video's in the main display, vu meters and graphic equalizer displays under the track info, you can opt for just titles (thankfully) which only display artist, or title, or album, which is a shame, sure they could of fitted it on the screen.
Colour settings change all buttons (red, green & blue) except for the screen and light around the knob, which I must point out seems very bright on a unlit road at night, very distractingly. Bare in mind also ... Read More:
