I purchased this item to go with a Iphone 3G, though it works with the Ipod within the phone and charges the phone, but when making a call it does not put the audio through to the car stereo. So therefore it is not fully compatable with the Iphone 3G, I have returned this item reluctantly as it is of good quality.

I bought one of these to install in my 2005 Nissan X-trail to replace the stock stereo (CY690), principally because I was fed up of the poor reception of the FM transmitter I bought to play mp3's from my Sandisk E280 mp3 player. I figured, why not get bluetooth capability as well as the ability to plug in the mp3 player directly via a 3.5mm jack. But what I also wanted was to retain the functionality of the stock steering wheel audio control stalk and the voiceover audio from the built-in satnav.
Am not disappointed. The order turned up the next day from Dynamic Sound Ltd. It comes with facia, 3.5mm jack lead (which is not very good quality), a set of leads that convert from ISO to the Sony specific input socket. I had to buy an expensive ... Read More: >>More Details |

I bought this for my wife to use. It works very well. Charges her IPHONE 3G and provides a good clear sound with reasonable bass and treble. She wonders how she managed without it. Only misses 5 stars because of a very slight background noise between songs.

This is a great solution when you're using 4 wheels instead of 2 :) the build quality is spot on and the suction mount has never failed yet (recommend a bit of spit)! although other people have said that the volume is quiet, i have found it to be quite loud especially when you turn the volume up to 100%. you can even hear it over the top of the radio etc aslong as you aren't a boy racer blasting music out of the windows! overall it is highly recommended by me :D

I got it and used it for almost 2 weeks now and it works fine, it doesn't lose connection as I heard other splitters do. Has a 10A fuse so it should be good for any gadget. The main wire may be a bit thin for 10A - I only used it for ~4 Amps - but I assume they are all like that.

I bought this as a secondary unit to an iTALKonline transmitter, and while I have probably been spoilt by that piece of kit, I honestly wasn't expecting the Roadtrip to be as bad as it is.
Firstly, the basic fitting is not quite long enough to fit into the cigarette lighter and allow me to actually see and use the ipod. Due to the angle of the socket in my car (Audi TT), the ipod ends up pointing towards the floor, making it difficult to change tracks etc. Also, the extension arm supplied is way too long and the unit is too heavy to be supported safely by it, leaving it sticking out too far and waggling around. This little torch is useless and if I hadn't lost the receipt I would have wanted my money back. The switch doesn't work properly....sometimes turning the torch on, other times nothing. It's rubbish.

I found this product to be great value for money and just what I was looking for for my PDA sat Nav.The holder rotates through 360 degrees and can also be fixed onto the air vent with the adaptor supplied.The supplier of this product was particularly helpful and friendly when I had cause to contact them and they provided me with A1 service.I had previously used a different device which included very small parts- plastic bits, springs etc, which kept falling off or getting lost down the air vent making the holder as good as useless.This item seems much simpler and practical in it's design.
