I got this in preparation for weaning my daughter who is 11 months at time of writing. Every recipe we have tried has been a winner and mum & dad have even enjoyed some too! I would recommend Gina Ford's weaning book alongside this one as a more comprehensive guide to actually going about weaning. This is better for the recipes.

great recipes (shame no pics tho - i do like a recipe book to have pics) which we are still using in our house (not just the toddler recipes) cos they're healthy, low on salt, sugar ecetera and as littlun has got older we've just stopped pureeing them.
good buy and plenty of scope for improvisation if you don't have the exact ingredients

This is a very colourful, fun recipe book to flip through. I've tried a few baby and toddler recipes which are pretty basic and easy. The only negative I have is that some of the baby puree recipes don't have exact measurements. For example, a pea puree calls for a med potato but one med potato can be different in size from another med potato. When I made this puree it turned out to be too starchy because I used too much potato.

I was given this book as a present, as we have recently started weening. The recipes are healthy and easy to follow as well as being totally suitable for the whole family, even the recipes for the six month olds (although perhaps before it is pureed!)
This is making life so much easier not having to cook several different meals!
The recipes cover food for all different occasions snacks, main meals even party food.. Gina has most things covered here...
This book is fab. I cook for twins who are 19 months old so I adapt the receipes to suit them. I think the recipes are very yummy, and my kids think so too. The aloha Kebabs are delicious - i cook extra for myself always. The children's favorite is the Avecado spread on their bread.
The meals take on average about 40 minutes in total including the prep, which isn't that long in my opinion and they are all so easy.
I know the slogan is to decpetively put vegetables in each meal, which I do as per the recipe, but I always put a seperate vegetable on the side of their meal so they learn to accept and eat them. My twins love their vegetables and enjoy eating these meals.
This book is a life saver. They are getting a variety of healty meals ... Read More:

I am a first time mum and a fussy eater myself. I was concerned that i would not pick the correct foods or be imaginative enough to make meals. My mum bought this book for me as she heard that Annabel Karmel is really good. Now I started using this book step by step, my little boy has tried and loved everything in it and is not thankfully a fussy eater. I have even cooked and adapted some of the receipes for my partner and me. I truly recommend this book as it has in deed been my bible. I love it.

I am a huge Annabel Karmel fan and after her Favourite Family Meals book, this comes second. I use this book for inspiration constantly. Our favourites are the paella, the prawn korma, the Singapore noodles and the meatball recipes. I also do a lot of baking and find Annabel Karmel's cake/ biscuit recipes to be the most delicious all around. I don't just use this book "after school" for my two children, it is used for the whole family and even for the odd dinner party. The glazed salmon with couscous is gorgeous for a "grown up" meal! I also find this book really useful in my role as a teaching assistant as we often use the recipes for inspiration.

This is a real winner; I would never have thought my 8 month old would be eating curries, but he has loved every single recipe I have cooked in this book so far. I've not stopped cooking since I got it! It has made catering for the family so easy; I just double the ingredients to make enough to batch freeze for my son, and a meal for the 3 of us. I honestly think my vegetarian diet has improved as a result of this book. I would recommend it to everyone, meat eaters included.
