Great book, loads of delicious recipes, and explains how ice cream works. Also has a good (if belt-busting) section of cakes and biscuits (presumably so that you can bash them into bits afterwards and add them to your ice cream). The beginning of this short book is a history of Ben and Jerry's which was interesting but a bit twee.
My only complaint is that all quantities are given in the rather vague US 'cups' rather than millilitres or grams (or even pounds and ounces). So you're told to put a quarter cup of this, with a half cup of that.
Don't suppose a bit more or a bit less of anything will hurt your ice cream, but slightly annoying to have to convert quantities every time.

If you're hunting for a cupcake book for decoration ideas, this is the book for you. There's only a few sponge recipes at the beginning, which then includes the different frosting and icing that can be added to create the finished article. The rest of the book is about the different decoartion designs that can be incorporated to suit every occassion - not the type of book for someone like me if you wanted simple cupcake recipes.
I was so excited when I received this book, all the recipes are amazing! I have made two of the cakes within this book, and I have to say I have never made such delicious and rewarding (let alone massive) cakes! Thank you Magnolia for this book it is lovely.

This book should really be called '101 Fruit Dessets' - the majority of receipes use fresh fruit and had I known this, I would not have purchased it!
I'm a big fan of the 101 series as the recipes really do work and the books are a real bargain considering what you get! However, unless you're after a book of fruit desserts, I would say buy 101 Chocolate Treats or 101 Cakes & Bakes both of which have an enormous variety of cakes, biscuits and indulgent desserts to try!

This is a fantastic book. I ordered it on a chance that the cake on the cover would be the setting for the entire book and it is. all of the designs are modern, fun and simple, just how cakes should be. These are truly beautiful designs that are easily achieved by a beginner as well as a professional. I make cakes for a living and I can see this book being well thumbed by my customers and well used by me. Lovely fresh designs depicting the style that celebration cakes are taking right now. Highly recommended!

Just Desserts, is written by the accomplished and talented three Michelin star chef Gordon Ramsey. As the name suggests, it's a cook book filled with recipes for the best part of a meal - - desserts.
It is the first book written by Gordon Ramsay I've ever purchased, and if his other books are as impressive as this one, then I guess I'll be buying the whole lot. While it's not the single best cook book I've ever seen, it is definitely the best dessert book and puts all others to shame. Gordon Ramsay is very passionate about food in general, and while I don't really picture him being big on desserts, I found almost all his desserts to be... mouth-watering to say the least, even the desserts I don't like, sound and look great. I can't ... Read More:

This is a beautiful book packed with both clear and concise instructions for creating both familiar and unusual blooms in sugar. The familiar rose, iris, magnolia and orchid all appear in fantastic detail alonside a range of succulents and wonderful plants with names such as akebia, rothmania and tweedia to name only a few! Trust me they might not be instantly recognisable but their colour shape and form make welcome additions to accompany our well loved favourites. Alan Dunn fans will certainly not be disappointed. There is plenty of new material to enjoy and marvel at. Sections on creating wonderful arrangements are a welcome addition to give ideas for displaying all the flowers and foliage. There are of course some wonderful cakes too.
If you've bought Annie Bells Gorgeous cakes book and loved it then do buy this one too.
Firstly, the images of this book as just as delicious as the cakes book and once again once you start baking they'll be no stopping you!
A great all rounder of pudding books-there's recipes for posh jellies (yes really posh jellies!) that would impress you're dinner guests to more traditional desserts like a crumble.
What had me at first sight was the chocolate fondant pudding...it's so easy to make you'll keep making it to surprise those who think baking is only for the older generation.
There's a sweet treat for everyone in this book. Great buy...and will look yummy on you're book shelf too.
