I'm not great at baking but was encouraged to buy the book for the beer bread. All the breads and cakes that I have tried to bake have been so simple and very tasty. It's simple to follow and easy to bake with great recipes for every occasion. Well worth the money and growing belly.

Excellent cake book. I had not attempted to make birthday cakes before I purchased this book and now I feel like an expert! This book gave clear and easy instructions on how to bake cakes, make icing, butter icing, fairy cakes etc. Highly recommended!!

After buying the first Confetti Cakes book I have had this on pre-order for yonks and was very excited when it arrived this week. The front cover is a true indication of the great designs inside. The Sweetie Factory is an amazing 2 tier whimsical cake - very Willy Wonka - and one that I will be persuading my kids to have for their birthdays without a doubt. I make cakes for a living and think all of the designs are fun, colourful and achievable by all levels and the cupcakes and biscuits would look fabulous at any kids party. This is a great inspirational book to have in your collection, I love it.

I bought this book expecting it to be full of idea's that I would never be able to achieve but could look at and aspire to, how wrong I was, this book is full of step to step instructions that take you right by the hand and guide you to make the cakes and pastries that you have always aspired to make but didn't think you would ever be able to achieve...... an excellent book for expert and novice alike.... bravo.

I was a little disappointed with this book to be honest.
The recipes are ok and the cupcakes turn out ok, but they're nothing special, at least I don't think so. Despite that, the book is user friendly, as in, it contains plenty of info about frostings, ingredients and loads of decorating techniques (however I would REALLY only recommend that if you're catering for 5 yr olds). I was after something a little more sophisticated i think and I just couldn't get round the fact that most of the cupcakes looked like a child had made them! Sorry! >>More Details |
