A lot of the recipes use large amount of raisins and fruit syrup concentrates which are a huge problem causing tooth decay - it's easy to assume they are healthy because they are a dried fruit and labelled 'natural'. Sugar is natural too!
Might just as well use unrefined cane sugar! All depends whether you are looking for 'sweet' recipes for children encouraging a sweet tooth. This is really for parents on a guilt trip as cutting out cane sugar gives the impression of being healthy. If never given, it will never be an issue with babies or children - and they will grow up not concerned with sweets and sugary foods. Pancakes, Pancakes has been my favorite "elementary" book for years! I love this book even now and I am in middle school. Eric Carle is a great children's author. I have about every one of his books he has ever written. The illustrations are beautiful to look at and the stories are so appealing to young readers. Great job, Mr. Eric Carle!!!!!!!!

Pancakes, Pancakes has been my favorite "elementary" book for years! I love this book even now and I am in middle school. Eric Carle is a great children's author.
