I have had this book for over a year. It is dirty, creased and full of flour. It follows me around the kitchen every day. If you are contemplating following a gf/cf diet this book is a must. I am forever in its debt. It has given me the person I knew my son could be and his brother someone to look up to instead of avoiding. My son never wants to go back to the way he was. He is a completely different person now. The day I bought this book all our lives turned a corner and we have never looked back.

Pancakes, Pancakes has been my favorite "elementary" book for years! I love this book even now and I am in middle school. Eric Carle is a great children's author. I have about every one of his books he has ever written. The illustrations are beautiful to look at and the stories are so appealing to young readers. Great job, Mr. Eric Carle!!!!!!!!

I weaned my first baby on Annabel Karmel's Complete Baby and Toddler Meal > Planner' which was absolutely fantastic and thanks to that book she eats > everything - even the dreaded vegetables! > > When my son was born I bought a copy of Annabel Karmel's New Baby and > Toddler Cookbook. This book starts with some delicious baby purees like > See in the Dark Soup and Courgette and Potato Puree which my son loved. > It then moves on to finger foods which my daughter enjoyed particularly > Lara's Little Salmon Rissoles and Annabel's Chicken Kebabs. What I like > about this book is that the recipes are quick and easy, great for little > ones but also make delicious meals for the rest of the family so you don't Read More:

I disagree with the review below on the child rearing parts of this book which I found very down to earth and sensible. As a mother of three I read this when pregnant with my first child and thought both the recipes (lots suggestions for adapting for toddlers) and other child rearing info useful. Rose Elliot suggests keeping toys in bottom drawers and accessible places and things you don't want broken out of reach - much bettr than not adapting your house and trying to say "no" to a difficult two year old I would have thought.

great recipes (shame no pics tho - i do like a recipe book to have pics) which we are still using in our house (not just the toddler recipes) cos they're healthy, low on salt, sugar ecetera and as littlun has got older we've just stopped pureeing them.
good buy and plenty of scope for improvisation if you don't have the exact ingredients
