This book is fab. I cook for twins who are 19 months old so I adapt the receipes to suit them. I think the recipes are very yummy, and my kids think so too. The aloha Kebabs are delicious - i cook extra for myself always. The children's favorite is the Avecado spread on their bread.
The meals take on average about 40 minutes in total including the prep, which isn't that long in my opinion and they are all so easy. I know the slogan is to decpetively put vegetables in each meal, which I do as per the recipe, but I always put a seperate vegetable on the side of their meal so they learn to accept and eat them. I have tried Bethany Simpson on this plan "Behind My Smile" A look at Juvenile Arthritis and she is having a little positive change to her health already. Bethany is finding it easier to breath and to tackle the stairs. It is a real hope for us as seeing your child in so much pyshical and emotional pain is soul destroying. The honey especially is helping and she seems a bit calmer. We have only been following for 4 days so I have high hopes. This book has had some slating in some reviews, but it is now one of my most used cook books. I've been an avid atkins follower for 4 months now and bought this as I was getting tired of steak and salad but didn't want to spend hours preparing meals. There are some great recipes in this book, and they are all quick and dead easy to make. Some of the weight conversions can be baffling, but if you go to www.atkins.com, they have a US to UK weight conversion so you can work it all out. Each recipe also breaks down your carb count so you can keep an eye on what you are eating. This is one of the main books I use for weekday cooking - the recipes are easy, quick to prepare and make use of ingredients that you have in your cupboard or fridge. Don't expect sensational and spectacular dinner party solutions in here, because this is not the book to wow your guests with; however, it does result in healthy, hearty recipes that taste very good and nutritious in a traditional, simple sort of way, perfect for the weekday cook who does not have 3 hours to whip up a meal. This isn't a book with long lists of ingredients - in fact, its simplicity of ingredients and seasonings is just what I like about it. I'm a fan of weight-watcher recipe books; they are straightforward, clear and usually provide delicious results. So when I saw that a new book had been published, I ordered it. I've sent it straight back! On opening the book, it is immediately apparent that all these recipes have been published in earlier books, and that this is a 'compilation'. If you have no other WW books, then this won't matter, but I do think that the description ought to say that most (if not all) of the recipes come from other WW books. Disappointing!

Wow! What can I say. This book has to have some of the most inspirational vegetarian recipes I have ever seen. I've just had great reactions at a dinner party to the Oyster Mushrooms in Ginger Butter that I cooked from a recipe in this book, and I have to agree with them. The recipes are not necessarily the quickest to prepare, but if they all taste as good as the mushrooms, then the extra time taken to put them together will be worth it. Since buying this book, my plans for this year now include a trip to Cork to sample the delights of this restaurant.

This book is great for the novice barfer. It is easy to follow and certainly convinced me of the need to move over to this diet. My puppy looks great on his meat, veg and bones and rarely misses a meal. I really would recommend lots of reading with barf but certainly get this book first as it will give you a sound basis from which to start from.

I recently embarked on the lighter life program and lost 3 stone. When I got the end of the 100 days the maintenance programme seemed long and drawn out (not to mention expensive). Once I had established the principles of Low GI, I set out to find a book to help me maintain my weight. I brought several books and I have to say this book was by far the best. It imparts common sense and logical facts on eating rather than tell us what we cant eat. I have found the 10 principles very easy to follow and so far, I have maintained my weight. Whats more, I feel very healthy and comfortable that if I slip up I am following the 80 / 20 rule and being a normal human being!
