I bought this book years ago, eight to be precise, and it has travelled with me to India and Dubai constantly being used to the point I need to cover it with plastic it is so messed up. I enjoyed cooking the dishes I have tasted all over Asia. My only criticism is that I wanted to be able to index the recipes with the hindi names for dishes from this country but it hardly matters. I have copied recipes to give to friends who have never heard of some of the food and they too have had fun cooking new flavours.I dont need pictures - I love to experiment listening to sounds the names of the veg and spices. Who needs meat with these kinds of recipes to hand.

My Mother in Law gave me this book for christmas as I was interested in the slimming world diet. What a fantastic book, just as it says 30 minute meals that are easy to to cook and taste delicious. As yet nothing has failed us, infact we have even tried recipes that we would not normally try. I have shown this to a few friends and thay love it and have also ordered it.

Three stars is an average, actually. I give the book five stars. It is inspiring, makes you look at the "Big Food" ( and "Big Health") industry in a totally different (and much wiser) way, and its principles will help you looking after your health even if you don't endorse them completely. The recipes for juices, smoothies, salads and soups are really lovely, and I'm really happy a juicer made it's entrance into my life. The diet, on the other side, gets one star. It made me feel exausted , my muscles ached, and I felt angry (though never hungry, I admit) all the time. I was hugely disappointed with this book - particularly with the photography of the finished dishes - it's redolent of the quality you'd find in a 1970's cookbook - the food looks totally unappetising.
I love cookery books and looked forward to this arriving but can honestly say I'll be lucky to use 2-3 recipes if that. Uninspiring with an over reliance on a few ingredients.
Sorry, but wouldn't recommend this to anyone who really enjoys cooking.

This is a wonderful collection of easy to prepare vegetarian dishes that taste amazing. Nadine Abensur transforms simple vegetables like potatoes and spinach into something heavenly. This is what vegetarian food is all about ... dishes that make you want to make them again and again and again. Some of my favourites are the beetroot risotto, spinach soup, and the celeriac and porcini gratin. I love this book because all the dishes I have tried are lovely and if you're cooking for someone else you can be guaranteed that whatever you choose to make from this book will impress your guest without fail. I started Ian's detox on Tuesday, Wednesday morning I had already dropped nearly 2 kg and was not hungry once during Tuesday! I can't believe how much I have lost and although the clear soup is a bit of a strange taste, the other recipes creates some great flavours and I have even made my own houmous and pesto, not only has this book helped me loose weight without being hungry but has also got me enjoying cooking. I should point out I am only slightly over weight and still can't believe how easily the weight has come off (day 4 now and I am nearly 4 kg lighter, if that is all I am happy!!!)
If you don't loose weight through this book I want to know why...
