Had two now, found food to be excellent potatoes, vegatables, meat in all forms, but will not buy another one due to them both breaking on the catches for the lid, same fault both times!!!!!!!!

This product was unable to fully cook the ingredients of a meal, even after many hours on the high setting. Perhaps it was just this particular unit that was defective, but I will search around for a different model. The Amazon.com returns policy, however, is user friendly and they have provided a full refund.

I am writing this review because I love the Tefal Quick Cup and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
Both my husband and I use it on a regular basis and after 5 weeks we're still using the original cartridge which I think is excellent. As for energy saving then it remains to be seen if our electric bills go down, but at the same time as buying this kettle we did change all our light bulbs to energy saving ones, but in this climate I guess every little helps. The only downside of the Tefal Quick Cup is how noisy it is, but since its only for a few seconds per cup its easy to put up with. Krups Nescafe Dolce Gusto KP210040 Coffee Machine, Black, 15 Bar Pressure Pump Got this machine last week and we haven't stop using it. my wife thinks its fantastic the machine is a little bid noisy but you can live with that. Our last krups coffee machine lasted 15 years and is still going i hope this one lasts as long.Also the machine on Amazon is still the cheapest around.

Out of the box this is a very elegant looking machine compared to most ice cream makers. I had a Philips one some years ago and this unit is no noiser than that, they all seem to make some noise due to the gearing. Freeze the ice bucket in your freezer for 24 hours and its ready. Put on the lid with the paddle and motor and away it goes, pour your mixture in and freezing begins immediately. If the mixture actually freezes completely the machine changed direction to remove the blockage, hence the gearing noise I suspect. In around 15 minutes or less I had lovely frozen yoghurt. When this product arrived i was really dissapointed. They pans are really light and the steel is really thin. The quality of the handles is also poor. I will be sending them back.

I've been using slow cookers for about 25 years. I got the 48715 last Christmas (2007) and it's been serving this family of four at least once a week since. Like any other kitchen appliance, some common sense in its use will avoid any of the negatives I've read here.
A slow cooker is not a 'set-it-and-forget-it' device, and they're not marketed as such. Admittedly the 48715 runs hotter than one might expect, but that's true of most modern slow cookers. In fact the one niggle I have with it is the number of times I've inadvertently touched the hot metal base, but that's me being clumsy.
