Just received the new Dyson CD25 'Ball,' the Super Saver Delivery service is quick. I placed the order on Friday afternoon & by Saturday 10am (less than 24 hours), I had used the Dyson to great success.
Easy to follow instruction for the assembly of the main handle to the body of the unit. Plain English manual to fully learn how to use the 'Ball' to best effect. It's incredible considering two days ago I had used my 'old' vac to clean the hallway, this little baby goes further than expected. Talk about suction power & ease of use. What a great little machine, compact, efficient, light, great design and styling. Have had Dysons for years and no problems so far. This machine really wins in the weight stakes, it's light and easily carried upstairs by myself and my wife. She loves it and it stows away much better than our our old machine. The difference is in the design with this Dyson. You just have to see the detail. It's vastly superior to any other handheld. In fact, from Dyson's own website, I can buy any part, and make a whole new machine myself and without having to pay for costly repairs. What do you do with your old handheld when it breaks - throw it away and buy another one? Well done Mr. Dyson. It's a top product.
If you want a good price, like I did, then price watch a few places and wait for offers and deals to come by. This is a machine for people who continuously clean all the time, as opposed to people who spend one single long period doing a more complete cleaning chore. The trigger is good too. Difficult to imagine how inefficient my other vacuum cleaners were until I powered up this "beast"!
The upright and the "wand" (the cylinder-like hose attachment) both removed quite dramatic amounts of dirt, dust, fluff and detritus from what I had imagined was a clean carpet. I'm sitting staring in disbelief at the amount of stuff in the bagless dirt/rubbish container. I recommend this machine. >>More Details |

I bought this dusting brush at my local Curry's and it cost £17.95 which was rather on the expensive side, but I'm not a huge fan of dusting and I liked the concept. It works really well, gets up all of the dust and is gentle enough to use just about anywhere. It is great at getting the dust out of the bottom of drawers, and the tops of books in my bookcase and as all of the dust goes into the vacuum cleaner, you are not transferring it from surface to carpet. On the minus side, the brush falls off my DC04 nozzle every couple of minutes despite trying out all of the adaptors. I contemplated taking it back to Curry's, but I like the principle of dusting as I vacuum so I have perdsevered with it.

Amazon service amazing! I bought this product two days ago and it was delivered this afternoon. I put it together myself as it was so easy. I had avoided Dysons before as they are so expensive even though I had heard good reports about them. I really wish I had bought one earlier now! This machine is just superb. Not as noisy as my month old Vax which I really hated as it blows air at my face. Really easy to manouver. I love it!

I brought this to clean my car and needed good suction to remove clumps of mud, dog hair and grit. It certainly removed them and the motorised head which is not air powered but a separate electric motor which gets its power through two prongs just above the nozzle join is very good with its coarse and stiff bristles.
But what good is it when you can only get six minutes of use out of it. I figured I could just get a second battery and have that on charge while I vacuum with another battery - alas not! The only way to charge a battery is to couple it to the device and charge it. A major design oversight in my opinion. This is potentially a great vacuum cleaner but is spoilt because in my opinion the flathead attachment for cleaning floors is next to useless on carpet. Because it's not possible to retract the brush elements when cleaning carpet they ended up collecting hairs and fibre and I then had to spent ages picking them out of the bristles by hand. I found the only way to get over the problem was to buy a turbo head attachment at an additional £40. Previously I owned an older Dyson DC05 and was very happy with it until it broke after 6 years. This older machine had a cleaning head that allowed the bristles to be retracted and it gave excellent cleaning on all surfaces, unfortunately because of different fittings I could not use the ... This is the first Dyson I've ever bought, after my dear Henry started to give up on me after 10 years! I read lots of reviews about which one to go for & I'm not disappointed I chose this one.
I don't have any animals but my own hair gets everywhere so I decided to spend the extra few pounds to get the Animal. I had new carpets installed 24 hours before the vacuum arrived and I have used it every other day since, I have already emptied it 3 times!! That's just in 2 weeks, it is amazing what it actually picks up. I hate to think what my old carpets were like, even though they seemed clean and I vacuumed regularly! My DC01 was beginning to show its age, and though it had never given any trouble in the 10 years I've had it, at the first excuse I persuaded myself that it was time to buy a new Dyson. (The 'excuse' was actually a loose (fixable) wire but Opportunity was knocking . . .)
I knew that Dysons had obviously come a long way since the 01 but the DC14 All floors is a good Quantum Leap ahead in technology and performance. I expected it to be better, but not that much better! My carpet appears to be a different colour, the cat hairs have completely gone, it cleans up to the edges much more efficiently than the 01, and I find the machine itself extremely easy to handle and manoeuvre around the house.
