Can anyone help with this question about the splash guard on the kitchen aid mixer? I am very tempted to buy the basic white Kitchen Aid mixer BUT it dosen't come with a splash guard. Do you think you need the splash guard? Also, the bowl is slightly smaller than the artisan ones. Am I being too picky??!!!

meaning you really can scrape the bowl thoroughly and in seconds. Not great for husbands who want to eat the remaining cake mix. The best spatula I own, I do actually love it! :)

Its beautiful. It's well made. It's VERY easy to clean because its design and manufacture are of highest standard. Its variable speeds are good for anything. Its attachments are great and it beckons you to make something.
The red colour is gorgeous. I suspect whatever colour you choose will be equally as gorgeous though!
Dont think twice ! Sorry for the few people who must have had rejects, not sure why just didnt ask for a replacement if sent a faulty one. For everyone else it seems if we could award more than 5 stars we would....Id give it 10 !!!

Have been wanting to treat my wife to one of these for ages and finally have. Cheapest on the net and very swift delivery. (two days) It now holds pride of place on the kitchen worktop. Here's to many more cakes, bread etc.

I have had my kitchenaid blender since May 2006. All that time it has done a fantastic job, still looks great, still great motor. I bought it because I wanted a really good blender where a replacement glass jug was easily available (I didn't want a plastic jug). After 2 and a half years of daily use (honestly, it is used all the time)the rubber bits on the bottom did finally break. a quick look on ebay and a few quid to a company called picksoft resulted in a replacement plus a little gadget to make the replacement easier. I am not good at this sort of thing, but I fixed it in 5 minutes and now it works just as before. Absolutely excellent machine. If you don't like throwing things away, and you like quality, this is the blender for you.

If you can afford one of these wonderfully stylish workhorses, then buy one - you can't go wrong with it. If you can't, then don't buy a Kenwood, but save up for this one - you won't regret it. It's far quieter than a Kenwood, incidentally which, if you use it quite a bit, is actually moree of an issue than you might think. I never really saw the point of having a food mixer until I regularly needed to mix large quantities of royal icing, and thought that that would be all I'd use it for. Now it gets used most days - cakes, meringues, pastry (divine!), fishcakes, beefburger mix, bread etc etc - there is no end to its talents. It's also a doddle to clean, by the way. It is heavy, however, so make sure you ca keep it in the place you'll be wanting to use ... Read More:
