Save energy and money with Eco Kettle - the best selling eco gadget in the UK, at the lowest available price from Ethicalsuperstore.com. Until now, accurately measuring the amount of water to be boiled in your kettle has been all but impossible. The result? It is estimated that, on average, we boil twice the volume of water needed every time. Which means twice as much energy, twice as much time. With a 3kW kettle that’s the same as wasting the energy of around 50 light bulbs!
The Eco Kettle is different: its internal reservoir holds a full capacity of water ready for use, while the measuring button allows any quantity – from a single cupful to full capacity – to be released into the separate chamber for boiling.
The result? Exactly the right amount of water every time you boil – and no more waste.
The Eco Kettle has been approved by the Good Housekeeping Institute and is recommended by Powergen as a pioneering product in the battle to save energy in the nation's homes. During independent consumer trials directed by the Energy Saving Trust, the Eco Kettle used over 30% less energy than standard kettles.
Eco Kettle features include:
3kW stainless steel concealed heating element
Steam control and boil-dry protection
Cordless; 360 degree base with cord storage
Locking lid with illuminated on-off switch
Washable limescale filter
230 volts AC
1.5 litre capacity
12 months warranty

Rating: - BRILLIANT KETTLE!
I was a little unsure whether to buy this kettle after reading some of the negative reviews, but took the plunge and I have to say, this is the best kettle I have had so far.
The kettle boils much faster than a conventional kettle therefore saving on electricity. It looks good on the design and is easy to operate, although I would like to point out that if you have difficulties using your hands or are elderly then you may have problems pressing the button at the top of the kettle as in my opinion it is quite hard to plunge and twist to fill the kettle to the top. If this very slight problem could be over come this product would be perfect.
Rating: - Don't buy any other kettle
Had ours for a year. It does exactly what you want it to do, enables you to boil just the water you need, and it does it quickly. I recommend it. We've had no problems with ours.
Rating: - Cheaper and more effective method
I filled a coffee mug with water and poured into my cheap Argos kettle. Made a mark on the level with a marker pen on the outside of the transparent window. Then filled again to the 2 mug mark and 3rd and 4th. Now depending how many coffees Im making I just fill to the level required denoted by the marker pen lines and its the same thing and saved me £34+
Rating: - Excellent Kettle
I feel I must have a different product to some of the negative reviewers. I do not find the problems mentioned at all.
The kettle is no heavier than any other kettle, it's the water that makes up the bulk of the weight. Perhaps people are being fooled by having a full upper chamber, but only having a single cup in the boiling chamber. I've had no problems with the cold water lid leaking, it has a secure clip and seal. I can make it hiss if I immediately empty the water after it has come to the boil, it is no different from any other kettle in that respect. It certainly does not spit boiling water out.
It's a clever design, you can do the same trick with an ordinary kettle but this is much more convenient.
Rating: - Not that great really
Not too impressed with this kettle. Yes it boils quickly but to be honest I found it easier to add an exact amount to my own kettle. This fellow is quite fiddly as you have to pump the required amount through and as its graduated in peculiar sizes I find I need 2 pumps which leaves quite a bit of water left over in the kettle as 1 pump is not enough for a mug. Also doesn't hold that much water so if you want to do 2 hot water bottles you'll be doing 2 boils. Bit of a gimick I reckon. If you want to save the planet then just fill a standard kettle from a mug and Bob's yer Uncle you won't boil too much water and you'll save some money too!!
