I love MOST things about this, from great tasting coffee, which I prefer to a cafetiere, the lovely bubbly noise of my morning ritual, the great design - but, BUT I do wonder about the aluminium! I banned all alu saucepans from the kitchen, replacing with stainless steel, because of some evidence showing there may be links with micro doses of aluminium (as you get from alu saucepans) and senile dementia/Alzheimer's. This is the one alu item in my kitchen, and I'm nervously attached to it because it brings back so many memories of my student days, when my best friend on the course, half Italian, introduced me to the delights of morning espresso from a Bialetti - I take a little trip down memory lane each morning with this design classic (losing ... I bought this dusting brush at my local Curry's and it cost £17.95 which was rather on the expensive side, but I'm not a huge fan of dusting and I liked the concept. It works really well, gets up all of the dust and is gentle enough to use just about anywhere. It is great at getting the dust out of the bottom of drawers, and the tops of books in my bookcase and as all of the dust goes into the vacuum cleaner, you are not transferring it from surface to carpet. On the minus side, the brush falls off my DC04 nozzle every couple of minutes despite trying out all of the adaptors. I contemplated taking it back to Curry's, but I like the principle of dusting as I vacuum so I have perdsevered with it.

I bought this kettle after months and months of online and instore research, with one minor blip being that I bought a metal / trendy looking kettle prior to this which graced our kitchen for no more than two weeks as it was awful having to drink metallic tasting tea or coffee. We decided to steer clear of metal and look only at glass or plastic and we came across this one... again more research and finally we purchased it.
It has only been four weeks but it's been lovely, it's quiet, it's easy to maintain, it's a perfect cup of tea or coffee every time; couldn't really ask for more. Now it's just to see how long it will last but I am also a huge Bosch fan and realised that I now have the kettle and the washing machine; maybe a fridge ... Read More:

We are extremely impressed with this product, after the first go we had got our poached eggs just right. With boiled eggs you need a tiny bit less water than stated on the measuring jug but it's still a great invention. Just one thing like another reviewer said, shame it doesn't do 2 poached eggs at a time. Toaster is fab too and will take really thick slices of bread. Well worth the money!

I have purchased 2 of these from Amazon. Both times the gear mechanism that connects between the jug and the base unit shattered when I blended ice. It's made of plastic and isn't robust enough to cope. Other blenders connect in the same way but use metal fixings. It's a great blender but you have to be careful not to challenge it too much.
