I first heard Gabriella Cilmi when i saw her supporting the Sugababes live and afterwards i went straight out and bought the album and it was excellent. I also saw her on her own tour and she was amazing again. She's a great new talent and deserves to become very very successful especially when you see some of these over-rated singers like Amy (attention seeker) Winehouse and Leona "Yes i can sing but my songs are so dull" Lewis doing well. I bought this special edition even though i already had the original version for the new songs including her cover of Cry Me A River which is better than the original. It's a pity Save The Lies didn't do as well as Sweet About Me when released as a single as i thought it was a classic but this album is ... Read More:

Take a cute Aussie singer with an amazing voice and pair her with the masters of pop, production house Xenomania of Girls Aloud fame (and also boasting impressive work with Dannii Minogue and of course Cher's 'Believe' in the past too) and you have the perfect package. Sweet About Me is a genuine gem of a track. Of course Gabriella Cilmi's soulful vocals will draw comparison with the likes of Amy Winehouse but that's really where any similarity ends. It's a shame this didn't do as well as Sweet About Me when it was released as i thought it was even better but this was probably down to the fact that it was released when Sweet About Me was still doing well and was still being played on the music channels and the radio a lot. Some friends of mine didn't know she had a new single out because Sweet About Me rather than Save The Lies was being played all the time and this probably played a big part in this single not doing as well. But it's a classic and i urge anybody who likes great catchy pop/rock songs to give it a go or better yet, buy the album. Gaby's a real star and i hope she has a long long career in front of her.
