I am another who was fortunate enough to see one of his recent live concerts. Of course we were treated to all of his classics, plus a few tracks from this latest new album. These tracks were very pleasant and memorable. Infact, an exceptional set of songs that amount to an exceptional album.
This remakable return to form is acheived with songs written by other artists including John Lennon, U2, Tom Petty and Jackson Brown. Some of these tracks are quite addictive.
So, there it is. Not typical Glen Campbell perhaps, but certainly classical Glan Campbell. If this is your scene, then this album is a must.
Yet another greatest hits album, but what the hell, this contains every decent track he has ever recorded. Many collections are padded out with gastly stocking filler tracks, not this one. I must admit that I really liked at least 20 of the tracks on this. Enough said.

Glen Campbell is one of the greatest and most versatile performers of our time. Many of the songs on this CD promote "a good feel factor!" His version 'Only Make believe' is by far the best I have ever heard and 'All I have to dream' is also very good.
19 great songs by a great artist represents a great purchase in anyones language!

If you want to buy a Glen Campbell "Greatest Hits" look no further than this superb collection, which provides a few surprise bonuses as well once you listen (i.e. Less of Me - superb early acoustic recording). All the classics are included - "Galveston", "Wichita Lineman", "By The Time I Get To Phoenix" etc plus duet with Bobbie Gentry. The only criticism i would make is the omission of "Both Sides Now" & "Don't Pull Your Love Out" (maybe they weren't Capitol recordings), but then there is an extensive back catalogue to choose from. An essential cd for anyone's collection.

Glen Campbell (b. 1936) was an ever-present part of the late 60s/70s music scene with such hits as Gentle On My Mind, By The Time I Get To Phoenix, and (of course) Rhinestone Cowboy. And then, came the substance abuse, and it all just fell apart. In 2000, this album was cut, combining various great tunes from along Mr. Campbell's career.
Now, as the album includes such as Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay and He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother, you can tell that this is not really a collection of his top selling songs. Instead, this album gives a good cross-section of great Glen Campbell tunes, showing off the range of his performances. Overall, I liked this album, especially the old hits of Southern Nights, Rhinestone Cowboy, and Galveston. So, if you ... Read More:

Having bought the above recently I have only just noticed that according to the packaging this is a two CD collection. I have only received part 1 and have only just realised it. Am I making a fool of myself,or are you in the wrong? A prompt answer to this would be appreciated Thank you Mike Daniels
