Before buying this album, I was familiar with the 'big' songs from it, however after a few listens i have come to appreciate the true raw talent behind it; suffice to say im very happy with the purchase!! the case was delivered with a crack however, which is not the first time from Amazon to me.

one word amazeing stairway to heaven alone!! fantastic album no 1 rocks like zep jimmy page one of the best guitarists ever along with david gilmour but my favourite is jimi hendrix electric ladyland wow!! buy this album classic rightly so!!

I found this album in my dad's collection and decided to whack it on my ipod. I'd heard good things about them from other people at school and they weren't lying.
The band are awesome. Great vocals and really good guitar. I love the bass and i think John Bonham is a brilliant drummer (Listen to Moby Dick & Stairway to Heaven). Personally i think Keith Moon is better. There are loads of great tracks on this album. Everyone will recognise whole lotta love from a certain tv programme!! There's also 'What is and what should never be', Moby Dick, Heartbreaker ..... there isnt really a weak song. A great album, but nothing compares to The Who. Defo 5/5. Along with Kind of Blue (Miles Davis), Follow the Reaper (Children of Bodom), and Clapton's CD with the Bluesbreakers, this is the best album ever. You should already own this. Seriously. The songs are all completely different, not a single filler track!

I bought this album as a teenager in the 70's and never felt it was one of zeps greatest albums compared to Physical Graffiti and vol4 so unfortunately it was the last of the remasters that I bought. Having listened to it a couple of times it has quickly become one of my favourates. Its understated beauty really hit me and touched me particularly "tangerine" and the really beautiful "thats the way". Pity the packaging doesnt reflect the curiosity of the original LP cover. Buy it and enjoy!

my personal Zep favourite....and then you get the rest of this excellent double album for free, what a bargain!!! I bought the original vinyl on the day of release and even now, over 30 years on, I still pick it out of the rack (now on cd) anytime I require a blast of musical genius.

This is essentially Led Zeppelin's best album, due to the fact that no other fireball in their cannon has as much diversity as this one.

Having been there at the start, and buying every album up to Physical Graffiti, for some reason I stopped there. Doh!
This one is real down home basic Zeppelin through and through. If you listen to the progression of their work from the first album (originally raved over but much over-rated in my view) through II (for me the first real uniquely Zeppelin album), through III, IV, HOTH and Phys Graf you can clearly see the development, ever more Zeppelin and confident. This one seems to be the culmination of that progression - no need to pose or strut or stray into experimental territory - they just know what it is they do well, and they just get on and do it. I really love this, it's a pressie for valentine's day, but I'm quite keen to keep it!
Although it has mixed reviews in terms of packaging I like it. What you get it basically a patterned grey/black box. The lid lifts up on the top to reveal the spines of 5 CD cases and a CD shaped booklet. Each CD case contains 2 CDs and the track listings etc. Marvelous.
