This CD is excellent! I think it is the best Snow Patrol so far, and I really like Snow Patrol. Every song is a winner! I am absolutely addicted to this CD--I have to listen to it everyday.

i cant believe i hear this album now! having recently bought the brilliant Leaders Of The Free World I wanted to discover Elbow. Then I listened to Cast Of Thousands next which i included in my top 10 album list. but then I listened to this album and I was totally knocked off my feet! I just love it. this is music! reading other reviews I was deeply dissapointed they were compared to other bands. some of the reviews which compare elbow to say coldplay would have put off buying this record. If u like music then get all the albums by Elbow. Another band I thought I should recommend is I Am Kloot.

Parachutes is still my favourit album from Coldplay. This album contributed to coldplays success with great songs Shivers, Yellow, High Speed, Everythings not lost. What can I say one of the best English bands ever.

Ok, for the people who don't like this album I say - you're all mad and have no taste in music whatsoever.
For the people like myself, who absolutely LOVE this album, I say - good on you, it's obvious you have brilliant taste in music!!!
There are no bad songs on this album, they are all genius - fabulous lyrics, catchy tunes and fantastic guitar. There are a couple of standout songs for me, so here they are (in order of the listing on the CD):
Politik: Coldplay were right to choose this song as an opener, it really works for the album. It took about two listens to get into it, and then it became a firm favourite. Has a real meaning too.
In My Place: Fantastic drumming at the start and the guitars are amazing. Great lyrics!

I notice one of the tags for this album is 'music'. Yeah!
Coldplay, whadda they sound like?
well, sort of... music, really.
Whoo! I got to get me some of that!
Yes, it's the sonic equivalent of watching paint dry...
I'm sorry. I don't HATE this stuff. But that's the point... it's so WET. When did people like this get to masquerade as rock musicians? It's bad for you. Your children will grow up thinking this is what a rock band sounds like. Zeppelin who? no, I wanna listen to the guys who go "waaa.. waa... I'm sad and feeble..." When there's the likes of Gutter Twins, Aquila, Rufus Wainwright and The Veils out there barely making a dent, you should not be spending your money and valuable time on this.

after listening to the bends little over a year ago which is the first album i thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. I heard about o.k. computer which was allegedy superior this astounded me because i thought the bends was as good as it got. Welllllllll after being somewhat sceptical i sampled a few songs and was addicted to airbag and intrigued by paranoid android but hadn't ventured any further for some ludicrous reason after a few months i finally had the sense to play the whole album a little overwhelmed as this was an experience that i was complelety unfamiliar with i didn't know quite what to make of it a few weeks later i replayed it making sure their were no distractions words can't describe how blown away i was on the second, third, fourth, fifth, ..... listen ... i grew up in the next village to these boys and their first album is annd always will be,there on my top five must haves. like so many othere one-hit wonders, they have proved over the years that they peaked with the first absolutely magic album , and then the rot set in. this album no longer is filled with creative lyrics and must listen to riffs, other than bartender and takes clothes off. this is just dross and fluff for fans who know no better to listen to and pretend they love it. sorry boys , its time to let it go now before the real damage to your reputations is done.
