The choice of programme was excellent. The voices of the three Priests, although, I think, untrained, were brilliant. What ruined this for me was the constant background of the Vatican Choir (the heavenly chorus). To my mind they added nothing, in fact, in some songs, they out-sang the three priests and, again, to my mind, they ruined the songs. Listen to any other "cross-over" band, in particular, Il Divo, Amici Forever, etc, - no "heavenly chorus" in sight. The Priests can stand alone so why don't they? The Vatican Choir did not help them. As a matter of interest, as they are Priests, are the proceeds of the sale of this CD going to them, the Catholic Church or some very deserving charity? Hope to a charity and hope that this will ... I've been an Enya fan for twenty years and the thing that you can never mistake is the unique "Enya" sound and the wonderful calming effect it can give the listener. Her music has got me through some very stressful times in my life.
Although a winter and Christmas themed album I truly feel this can be played at any time of year and would still sound great. Having said that, this album really does capture the feeling of frost and snow-covered fir trees etc.
The tracks are varied with a nice selection of soft slow tracks along with the more up tempo ones. Of the latter ones, I challenge anyone not to have "Trains and Winter Rains" going around in their head for days! For me, one of the most beautiful tracks has to ... Read More:

This is the second disc in the collection by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, and both are as good as each other. Judging by the average 4 stars for the previous disc, you can see why I'm giving this a 5 star! (In addition to this, while the war was not universally popular, these soldiers are only doing their job and I feel by buying this disc you can send them your support!)
Back to the review, this collection is different from any other which I have heard in the past. I can almost feel the emotion of the band during the recording! Very good collection.

I had never heard of these but my boyfriend put this onto my ipod. I just could not stop laughing. "Can someone please remove these cutleries from my knees?" I laughed out loud on the tube.

Difficult to see who this set is really aimed at. On the one hand, the casual listener is already well served by the numerous ABBA compilations currently on the market (there are or have been more ABBA Best Ofs than there have genuine ABBA studio albums); on the other, the serious fan will be disappointed by the lack of genuine rare material (no foreign language hits and, more importantly, no unreleased stuff from the vaults).
So, peerless though some of the music is, I can rate this latest repackaging no higher than three stars :-(

How do Disney do it. They seem to have that magic touch with everything they do and this album is no exception. Although my son is only quite young he still loves this album every time I put it on and I have to admit that so do I.
If you have seen any of the films (which I imagine is most of you) then you have to get this album. Time and time again you will be whisked away back to the wonderful world of Disney films and animation. Okay I am rambling but it is a very good album. 5 stars!!!

Very ,very dissapointed with this CD, heard a bit on classic FM, rushed out to buy it, There have been 100s of albums with pipes and drums, and I though being The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards it would be superior. I regret having spent my money on this CD. look for budget CDs of pipe music, you will probably get the real thing, and much better.

At this price, I didn't expect too much. But this is a little odd. It's got a great range of songs, but some of them stop half way through so they no longer make sense. e.g Tommy Thumb - finishes after ruby ring (poor baby small is lost) and others are very short. Some also have very odd tunes - although the variety can be good. The shortness and speed at which the songs change from one to another makes it hard to sing along (which is what I'm after in a nursery rhyme cd) - I'll have to spend a little more next time. Actually I recommend woolworths value cds for good value nursery rhyme cds!
