Not many artists can produce 3 top selling albums and then top them with something that is all together in a different league. Not many artists can have such a wide appeal whether you're 16 or 60. Not many artists can produce an album with lyrics so very personal without sounding self absorbing. Well Pink has done all of those. Whether you want straightforward rock, dance music or stunningly beautiful ballads (no Dion/Carey warbling here), combined with edgy almost bluesy vocals, this album has it all. Frankly, this is a classic.

This has to be one of the best albums I have bought in a long time. Every track is good usually there is always a couple of songs that don't do it for you but every track is great.
It's funny to read the negative reviews of 808s & Heartbreak based on the fact that Kanye has neglected his hop-hop/rap roots. For those short-sighted people, they are missing out on hearing what I believe to be one of the albums of the year.
I've never bought a Kanye album before, even though I have picked up the various singles released from all his albums. So I kinda liked him, but never really committed to him by taking the ultimate plunge. On hearing Love Lockdown, I was completely blown away. The contrast between the sparse, quiet moments of the track and the bits where the explosion of drums kick in and Kanye gets all emotional is pure musically brilliance! And that's the point. It shouldn't matter what genre it is - the ... Read More:

it wasn't until Disturbia and Take A Bow that i became a fan of this smashing R n B star....and i saw this album for a great pice and i got it.
Umbrella was an awesome lead single but it didn't persuade me to buy the album the first time round.
but now this release was out...i had to get it....and my gosh is it an amazing album.
it's the equivalent of Michael Jacksons' THRILLER album...amazing stuff.
Madonna did it with Like A Prayer....now Rihanna the r n b equivalent has done it...and made it entirely personal and extremely enjoyable.
while Britney Spears CIRCUS is gonna knock it off the top spot as the album of 2008(i'm sure it may do so as Womanizer is spectacular)...for now Good Girl Gone Bad is definately the album of the ... Read More:

Ignore all the negative reviews, they aren't hitting the point, you hardly get a group producing such varied genres, from the mature/vulnerable (I Hate This Part) to the club bangers (When I Grow Up).
When I Grow Up - Instant hit. 10/10
Bottle Pop - Features Snoop, OK attempt on a flirty electro song. 8/10
Whatcha Think About That - Features Missy, the standard PCD type song. 8/10
I Hate This Part - heartfelt ballad. 10/10
Takin Over' the World - Nice upbeat, Doll dominating song. 9/10
Out of this Club - Features R Kelly, bog standard ballad. 7/10

...the record company left a few other underrated gems like "Never Too Far" which was the second single from "Glitter" and many more from her previous catalogues.
I think the proper title should be "the incomplete ballads" or "evil marketing-ploy for stocking filler ballads" since Christmas is just around the corner. What a pity. Still a great collection but not an excellent one.

This is probably the best compilation album of Stevie's work and that's great but I urge you all to use this as a taster of his work, there is lots of it and if you buy anything before 1980 you will love it if you like this. Unfortunately he's done nothing of real note after the 1970's and that was where his key work was done. The trilogy of talking book, innvervisions and Songs in the key of life are treasures to be explored in their won right and you should all do so, personally although songs in the key of life is seen as his masterpiece it was a double album brain dump of everything he was working on and contains material that is weaker than the shorter talking book and innvervisions, with Innvervisions representing his finest (non compilation) album in my opinion, with perhaps ... I was a bit disappointed with the album after having read all the glowing reviews on Amazon. The lyrics are good and the production is interesting but apart from William's blood and I'm crying the melodies are frankly boring.
