This is the epitome of easy listening, as it evokes a time when everything was so less complicated. Some would say it tends towards the cheesy, but...bring it on.The songs remind me so much of when I was small and the radio was always on, and everyone sang along. so different from sitting glued to the TV today. This is a brilliant collection at a remarkable price. Some of the titles I was unfamiliar with, but all in all, a most welcome and enjoyable addition to my collection.

So disappointed on receiving this as a birthday present to hear that it is obviously NOT the original, which I have on a very old and delicate tape. I was too young to see the original show but have grown up listening to the music through my family, which is wonderful and inspirational. Please someone revive the show and get the original soundtrack onto cd and more easily available.

Timeless and Great! Quality sound and you get the real sense of Winston in the room.. as you go back in time... Someone produced it as wel as they could for a good lsitening experience.. My grandmother was seriously moved when I put it on in the kitchen... I could tell she was taken back in time. In a word. Spellbinding. What a delivery and what a voice. We OWE him mor ethan we think. So much better to actually hear the speech`s from him than read them!! Glad I purchased this. : ) Real History. Priceless.

Bought this cd with no great expectations. Heard one of the songs on the radio & thought I'd try a whole cd'ful. It's great. Like a compilations of early 70s hits, but all sung by the same guy. He's got an amazing voice, and although the production values aren't incredibly high, the musicians are never less than good and the all-round sounds are great. I've already ordered a 2nd copy for my mum.

I have heard many Art Pepper albums, and I have heard him in concert, but some of these tracks are new to me and the whole album is very moving. If you like Art Pepper and you like ballads, look no further

A Fantastic Album with both Guitarists at the top of their profession combining to make this essential for people who enjoy music. My Guitar Tutor put me on to Martin Taylor and I must say I am not disappointed, with the introduction of Gordon Giltrap as well, I now know what the accoustic guitar should sound like. (This album is also being sold as Giltrap & Taylor with the same playlist but repeating some songs as live versions as well).

So because I was not sure Pepper Adams' almost gruff baritone sax would pair well with Zoot Sims' much lighter and more melodic touch on tenor saxophone - particularly without Donal Byrd's trumpet. But it works and on certain tunes it works very well indeed. Very enjoyable even if not the masterpiece it is touted to be.
