I have just got the box set recently, and have been enjoying it greatly. Not just that, my three daughters aged 9, 6 and 2 are great fans, and want to listen to it all the time in the car. And the two-year-old even says 'Rock' once she hears the first few bars of 'We will rock you'. Just goes on to show that Queen truly made ageless music, which still scores far above most contemporary music.

If you are new to the world of Guns N' Roses I urge you to go and pick up Appetite for Destruction and play the hell out of it. This is a good CD if perhaps you just want a mix CD for the car or whatever, but there is less of their groundbreaking debut album on here then I would have liked. Songs like Rocket Queen especially deserves a spot on this CD.

Queen are the most overrated band ever. This collection does contain the odd decent song but most songs here are trivial, soul-less, hollow and very very empty. The world's most pointless band!

Before buying this album, I was familiar with the 'big' songs from it, however after a few listens i have come to appreciate the true raw talent behind it; suffice to say im very happy with the purchase!! the case was delivered with a crack however, which is not the first time from Amazon to me.

Yep, Aerosmith have released many many greatest hits albums. I think this one has the best mixture of tracks of the lot though, a range of all their hits starting from way back. Some fantastic songs.
Highly recommended if you've only heard a limited amount of Aerosmith music, as it'll give you the pick of the best of the rest, and you may well decide to look into their more obscure stuff. >>More Details |

This is the compilation which defines the most criminally overlooked rock band in history. One of the greatest songwriters of the late 20th century, backed up by a troop of amazing guitarists, with Gorham, Robertson and Moore blasting out riffs and, more importantly, some of the greatest guitar solos ever throughout each song on this compilation. This band is a monolith of rock music and thankfully this compilation shows this very well.
my only quibble is that perhaps this shouldve been called 'the very best of' or something like that. In that case southbound and massacre couldve been added too, as well as the rest of the black rose album. You can't go wrong with Bruce Springsteen's entire catalogue, and seeing as how most are on a very low price you could pick them at random and still have a lot of nice surprises (but maybe not the Lucky Town era). This compilation is an interesting mix of tracks, but it barely scratches the surface particularly of the pre Born In The USA time and centres too much on the ones since then. There's practically nothing from Greetings, The Wild, Nebraska and Darkness, the huge amount of live tracks are also overlooked, so I think this is aimed more at the very casual listener who isn't concerned what great album tracks they're missing. Sadly only Born In The USA and one track off Born To Run get all the attention on the radio, so I say to anyone you should buy any of the albums because they're all worth ... Read More:

Def Leppard outsold many band of the 1980s, and this compliation of their best hits proves why. Hits from the early years of recording, like "Photograph" and "Rock of Ages" are within the compilation, and are complimented with the hits from their biggest selling album, "Hysteria", like "Animal", and "Rocket". Included also are some songs from their albums in the mid 1990s, like "When Love And Hate Collide", which scored highly in the UK charts. Of course, their biggest hit, "Pour Some Sugar on Me" is the first track, so that will definately get any listener going.
The band itself produces absolutely brilliant music, and this album clarifies the imapct Def Leppard had on the music world. I would also call this a masterpiece. >>More Details |

I had the pleasure of seeing Neil Young live in Kent last weekend. It was great to see he is still on tremendous form after all these years. With a catalogue of about thirty albums it is difficult for newcomers to his work to know where to start their collection, but this compilation covers a lot of his best known music. In fact according to the man himself it was compiled according to sales of the songs, airplay and known download history which gives the track selection credibility.
The collection begins with three of Neil Youngs' key songs- two epics which demonstrate the remarkable craftsmanship behind his output (Down by the River and Cowgirl in the Sand) and the shorter, harder edged 'Cinnamon Girl', an instantly catchy number.
