Brother was the first track that jumped out at me, then skipped along til It Girl launched itself into my brain, I can't stop singing it, so catchy but my favourite has to be the Shirley Bassey mix "where do I begin?". Being the owner of most of the top 100 albums in the chart this is my favourite album of the year, quite possibly of many years.
You cant put it down, you have to play again and again. Sing along in the car to it at the top of your lungs and watch the other drivers smile. "Cos you're an IT girl, it could happen to you"

Great to see so many other reviewers echoing what I'm feeling about this record - its absolute quality!
Love the flow of it, every track is focussed and is a real pleasure to listen to - whilst most people have got/ heard 3 Feet High (and don't get me wrong it's a great album), far less people have heard Stakes is High and its a shame because it shows how much De La Have evolved as a group...
If you don't have it - buy it now! Then drop a review on Amazon telling everyone else how great it is!
Several years on and this fantastic piece of audio-ware is still in my multi-changer in my car. It truly is the most amazing album I have ever heard, ever since I've owned it i've been tapping the wheel to 'My writes', nodding my head to 'Oooh' and 'I C Y'all' and belting my lungs out to 'All Good'. When I put this CD on I skip track 1, the intro, and then play the whole of the rest of the CD right through. The depth and range of the tracks due to all the cameos on it really make it very listenable, as no two tracks are the same. It truly is my most favorite piece of hip-hop history, right next to Cypress Hill's 'Black Sunday' and Wu-Tang's 'Forever'.
If you haven't got the hint yet, you should be owning this album already, and if you ... Read More:

Criticising De La Soul? Are you crazy? They're groundbreakers. They pushed the envelope and allowed hip-hop to expand as a form of music.
True, true, true. Couldn't agree more; they did all that.
Unfortunately, in being so experimental and insisting on putting irritating and extended skits between every track - and sometimes between every skit - they produced very inconsistent music whose rhythm is destroyed further by the aforementioned skits.
Bought this as I bought 'Three Feet High and Rising' on release and, similarly, was disappointed with it. Again, with the exception of one or two tunes. This being marketed more seriously suggested that the silly, self-indulgent skits would be a thing of the past. But ... Read More:

Well, after following the magic number since 1989 every new De La Soul album is an event that I always look forward to. However, since 'Stakes Is High' I seem to go through the same routine. I listen to the new album once and think 'the've frikkin lost it this time, never again' but a month, a few months or a year later I think - 'no, can't have been that bad'. I play the album again and think 'why the hell did I hate this?'. I have figured it out, De La remain ahead of the Hip Hop game, every time, guarenteed.
This album, AOI:Bionix is a supurb piece of finely crafted, smokey basline, slick produced hip hop. A real antidote to the (fantastic) Eminem Show.
So what's in this album that makes it good? Well, you've got the emotional, ... Read More:
